This kind of puzzle is fun because you don’t need to sort to much and it’s often easier to figure out where pieces go.

J.J. Loupe's cartoon characters have an air of Mordillo's. I have never built one from them, but would love to. Heye attracts me, but the puzzle box turns me off due to storage inconvenience. I twirl my puzzle board, so vertical or horizontal doesn’t matter. It's the puzzle piece quality that's important to me. The downside is that my puzzle board has to be small for several reasons, so I can't have that pleasure of flipping them over. It does fit standard 1K pieces, though. This is the perfect puzzle to flip them over. Such a fun puzzle!! Love the Halloweeny music that you added. Try to post videos more often to increase your rating.😊 Wishing the best for you...

Yes, they do. It would be hard to tell their artwork apart, if you didn’t know, to be honest - I love them both though 😊 I agree about the boxes, they are just weird, I don’t know who thought of making them like that, but they didn’t really seem to think it through did they? There is nothing I would like more than to make more content. My three jobs and raising the children makes that difficult though. 😩 One day I’ll get there, with some perseverance and luck I will make it my main thing, but that’s not possible right now. Thanks for watching as always, Betty 😍

Hiya! Yes, 2k pieces is on the bigger side, but this one was not too difficult, so it didn’t really feel like it was 2000, if that makes sense. I have never actually done a 1.5k puzzle, I will need to try one. Thank you so much for watching, regards from the UK and happy puzzling 😍

Hi Vicky, I’ve done this puzzle about 5 years ago and just loved it. I passed it on about 6 months ago and wish i didn’t. I’m looking for it again lol. My favorite Heye artist was Robert Crisp, if you ever get a chance to do one. I believe you had one of his called Rocket Launch. Glad to see your Castle of Horrors was complete, that’s always a worry when buying second hand puzzles.

Ah, that’s a shame - I hope you find it again! I’m not sure where you are, but I did see it on the US Amazon if that helps; I think I was just really lucky to find it complete, in a charity shop! Honestly I now don’t know what to do with mine, I would like to keep it, but don’t know whether to tape it or take it apart 🤔. Thank you! I shall look at Robert Crisp’s artwork, I’ve not seen those before. Thanks so much for watching 😍

That was a good puzzle and the pick-up succeeded thankfully. If I have an area of puzzle that I find difficult to reach I just turn the puzzle so the working area is in front of me. I've done that a few times with a landscape 1000 piece puzzle. Being short means reaching the top of a puzzle can be difficult. If the image is portrait style I do it as landscape. Certainly saves getting bad backache from standing. Look forward to your next video.

Thank you! It was so fun to build, and I am also relieved the pick up worked out well 😄 I think that’s practical moving the puzzle round to suit, I tend to do that a lot with round puzzles. I just like to build the right way up when I’m filming for a video, just so it looks better under the camera. If I wasn’t filming though, I’d definitely do the same thing as you 😍 Thanks for watching!

What a gorgeous puzzle! Heye is one of my favourite brands of puzzles. The quality is always top notch. I haven't done the particular one you did but would gladly do it if given the chance. Currently I'm doing one I borrowed from the library that is really lovely. It's a Eurographics puzzle 1000 piece called Higasa by Haruyo Morita. It's a painting of a traditional geisha in a garden with a red bridge. It's in vertical layout so obviously that doesn't bother me 😂 I just work from the side.
@Vickymakesandbuilds

That Eurographics sounds lovely! I haven’t tried a Eurographics puzzle yet - so many I still haven’t tried 🤩 I agree about Heye, I have always enjoyed the quality, of the newer and older ones 😊

nicely done! that's the kind of image I like but I don't like the portrait puzzles, I end up doing them sideways cause I don't have space to do them portrait and I find that frustrating. I'm having major envy of your large puzzle board!
@Vickymakesandbuilds
@Vickymakesandbuilds 6 ай бұрын
Thanks Siobhan! It really is a fun image, especially if you like cartoon puzzles 😃. I think if I wasn’t filming for a video, I would have done it sideways too, it’s just more practical. I just like them to be the right way up when I’m filming for KZfaq 😍 My board has been a real game changer I must say. It’s heavy because it’s MDF, but I needed that so it could handle a tripod standing on it 😆 Thanks for watching and thank you for your member support - I really do appreciate that 😊

Great video as always and another fantastic image. I also really like fun cartoon puzzles. I always enjoy how informative and interesting your approach is. I just finished a Heye Zozoville puzzle. I have done a few of that series and I keep buying more - I just love the artwork. Unfortunately, all the ones I've done have been VERY crumbly, loose fitting. There is no way I would even attempt a pick up. Interesting to see that the older ones seem to be tighter fitting. Vertical vs horizontal doesn't make a difference to me. I don't have a table, I just build on foam boards sitting on the couch. I can just turn the foam board however I need. (Would love to see you build the 6000 piece card puzzle in your collection. Interested in how you would aporiach it.)
@Vickymakesandbuilds
@Vickymakesandbuilds 6 ай бұрын
Thank you! I first got into cartoon puzzles with Wasgij? But I love them all 😃 I have been wanting to try some of the Zozoville puzzles too, the images are so fun! That’s a shame the newer ones are not as tight fitting though. I was nervous about picking this one up to be honest, but I think any looseness in this one is due to it having been built before though, so I risked it - thank goodness it worked! 😆 Foam boards make building larger puzzles so much more doable, I always have a bunch of foam boards on hand. If I can I try and build the puzzle the right way up, but that’s really to make it look better on the videos, if you see what I mean - I have no problem building them sideways though if I’m just doing it for fun 😊 I plan on doing the card one soon, but will be tackling another of my larger puzzles first - it’s long overdue - been sitting on my shelf a while 😍 Thanks for watching and for your member support - I really appreciate it 😃

@@Vickymakesandbuilds Foam boards and your video about building large puzzles in small spaces changed everything for me. I'm currently working on a 3000 piece puzzle with just foam boards and puzzle box lids stacked on my coffee table. Your "keep it as small as possible for as long as possible" advice/philosophy totally works for me.
