Looking good! Don't forget to re-cap those areas you removed the top plate off the chassis rails, you don't want mud and debris getting in there and rusting it from the inside out.

You should have mounted those big pieces of tube you welded to the frame vertically, mounted horizontally (parallel to the frame) the tube will want to crush when loaded. It'll probably be strong enough either way, but you would have gained a lot of strength by making a simple adjustment

Progress! I've used an evo saw for the past 5 years daily and love it! The trucks coming along. One thing to note tho, square tube is pretty strong.. But what it can't handle is twisting. So say your cars loaded, strapped down to the bed. Say you have to stop really fast or get into a wreck, them 3" spacers are just gonna twist back and flatten out. My suggestion is while your right there, get some 3" flat stock (1/8 would be fine) and box the spacers. That'll make em super tough and resist twisting or flattening. Keep up the work up tho bro! Was just wondering what was going on with the project during work lol

I'd like to know what the "inside" width and depth of the frame rails are? I don't know what you plan to haul, but I'd be hauling a B-body Mopar that is about 17 feet long and about 3400 pounds. Looking forward to more on this build..

I’ve been wanting to do a ramp truck for years. What thickness metal should I use to ensure it will be strong enough to haul say a 8000 lb truck?
