In this 3rd episode of our off-grid house-building adventure, we are cutting the 1/4-mile + driveway; setting up a “headquarter“- off-grid sawmill shed, running on solar power and a rain barrel, with more modern conveniences than one could expect out in the woods; and clearing the house site.
Also shown is some rare footage of our dog, Nina, helping us select the ideal house site on our property.

Great work man. We got a 6” chipper a couple years back to clear our building lot. Works great and my 25 hp Kubota can handle it with no problem.

Hey Paul good stuff! I liked the explanation on the driveway and the compression runs. It was neat to learn that geotek fabric not only keeps plants from growing up in between the rocks but also keeps the rocks in place. Only took 43 seconds! Haha
