I can't afford many legos, but I just about had the required parts, and I ended up with a very colourful Tiger I D:
@raddoobies3 жыл бұрын
Be grateful! I don't even have a quarter of the required pieces! Also having a colorful tank means it has better camoflauge,which makes it 2 times cooler looking. :D

By far, the best part about this model is that the proportions are way more realistic than some other lego tanks out there. In many stop motion videos, a tanks' hull alone would be taller than a minifigure, while in real life, hulls are usually around 5 feet tall. For this tiger, the proportions seem to be about right. Let's say the German soldier is six feet tall. In the video, the German is as tall as the hull. Tiger 1's are rather large, the hull being that same height. So this model might not have as much detail as larger models, but not only does it still look good but the proportions are mostly correct which I think is underrated.

Two of my favorite models I built as a kid were 1/72nd Scale Panther and Tiger tanks. (I had better eyesight then!) The interleaved wheels were the biggest challenge: they looked great compared to those on my Stuart, Lee and Sherman, but what a pain.

wow! end result hides a lot of the detail that went into it, a great build. I can see why the half stud engagement on the track drive - it looks better, but I'd have to use a longer axle! apart from that, tons of ideas here that I'd never have thought of. Awesome build!

Grammar is important in the nazi party so he is grammatically correct
@anxpectednrwgianinqaisitin28253 жыл бұрын
Wait wait wait. As a historically correct nazi i declare your statement as wrong. In fact the tiger I in the video is not ‘THE tiger’ it is simply the PanzerKamfWagen VI Tiger, otherwise known as the tiger I. as a matter of fact the PanzerKamfWagen VI Ausf B or widely known as the königstiger (king tiger) and the tiger 2 is also a part of the german tiger or ‘cat tanks’ witch is a nickname given by the allied troops because of the names Tiger and Panther both animals in the cat family, so you saying ‘THE Tiger’ is historically inaccurate. Sorry for nerding out but this is important and you cannot make this bad of a mistake in your research. Sincerely a person that loves WW2 as a subject
@J.Severin3 жыл бұрын
@@anxpectednrwgianinqaisitin2825 Panzerkampfwagen, not PanzerKamfWagen. If u want to be a grammar-nazi, then take care of the details. greetings from germany. :D
