Hey Dan, love the series but I have a idea! When you mine for ancient debris, mine a two block tall tunnel, place the bed on the floor then a block in front of it. You take way less damage. You only take 2 hearts of damage and if lava falls you’ll see it sooner! You are awesome!

For the people wondering why the amount of damage varies so much when Dan's blowing up beds is because it's important to have a block right in front of you when you blow up the bed. This will prevent most of the blast damage. 25:27

Hi, Dan, if you place a block in front of the bed it will help mitigate the explosion damage. Also try using tnt as soon as you can. It's a lot easier to work with than beds.

I really love how you can balance your gaming channel with being a good dad, not everyone is able to do that, well done. Also your only mistake in the last hardcore series was not that you got too close, but you didn't use a sweeping edge 3 sword. Because you didnt have sweeping edge, the evokers didn't take enough damage and so cast the vexes.

Just so your aware Dan, Netherite doesn’t actually give more protection than diamond. What it does is increase the durability of the armor, give the user knockback resistance, make it so the armor does not lose durability when taking fire or lava damage and makes the items not able to be burnt be lava or fire. I suggest you keep the netherite armor for yourself and use the enchant table with you 70+ levels to get perfect armor (which you can look up what enchants u need for that) but if you get full prot 4 ur invincible to most things. (Edit: Netherite does offer more protection through armor toughness but not too much, so without protection 4, which the villager cannot have, it’s far better on ur own body)

Hello Dan, I hope you read this. This is some advice for mining netherite with beds, you should always put a block ahead of your feet or legs whatever you prefer then you wouldn't take that damage.I hope this helps and I love your videos keep up your hardcore world 😊

Idea: use fences as the "safety barrier" in the farm. You can get close enough to hit all the angles but hopefully not close enough to cause the evoker to spawn vexes.

Hey Dan! Just a top tip, when you're using beds for netherite, if you place a block at your feet in front of you, it absorbs a lot of the blast and you take less damage

27:55 it's called infested stone and can generate randomly and i think it's rare to find it in survival. it has a 100% chance to spawn a silverfish for each block. hope you see this dan i love your vids!

Netherite mining tips: Bring fire res just in case, mine around y=14 and always mine near chunk borders (press f3+g to show borders) beds work well but if you have the resources to mass produce tnt use that for mining instead and when exploding the beds mine a 2x1 tunnel, place the bed then place a block 1 block away from the bed then blow up the bed Hope these helped

Explosions cause much less damage when your feet are shielded. Each time you almost died, the bed was at foot level, while the bed was at head level when it did three hearts. The easiest way to prevent dying is to place a single block (even netherrack is fine) on the floor in front of the bed. Your feet will be shielded, and you can still right-click it over the top of the block. Also, level 15 is best for ancient debris, not bedrock.

At 27:41 Sometimes, infested stone can spawn in extreme hill biomes, so you're probably in one right now since the stronghold is not nearby. Also, if you have xray texture packs, it will make the normal stone transparent but keep the infested stone the same. 3rd, infested stone is easier to break than normal stone

Dan you were scaring the me to the point where I felt I was in your situation when you were blowing up beds in the nether for scraps. I highly recommend placing cobblestone 1-2 blocks away from the bed to allow for less impact. Also, for safety percussion you can place it on the sides of you, but make sure you have access away from the explosion, aka the back.

Hi Dan, a little suggestion here. I haven’t tried this myself, but I think if you put cobblestone walls as the protective barrier, you could get a little closer. If that’s too far, you could use glass panes.

Dan! I know a couple options for your escape route. You should either make an ender pearl stasis chamber outside the farm that can be activated from inside, or make a water elevator to quickly get up to the top of it.

You should try putting fences instead of slabs next to the chests. Also Netherite doesn't make much of an difference in protection it has more to do with not taking knock back. So if anything it would be better for the villager to have diamond so if something hits it, it gives him a slight boost to run away.

A way to be extra safe is to put boats around the kill area to trap the vexes. Also make the kill chamber a bit lower to make it 1 shot so they dont have a chance to summon vexes

Hey so for the Bed explosion problem: I think theres something that stops you from taking as much damage if the bottom half of your character gets hit. So, if you put a saftey block in frot of your feet before you set off the bed, you shouldn't take as much damage

Tip: Swords have more reach I would recommend using that instead.

All drops are not affected by if they are killed with a sword. Only if the affected item is a trident, linked to a player holding looting, or just using looting itself. (Automatic trident killers can be made by moving thrown tridents around. This can also increase drop rates by holding looting)

As much as I love this series and your videos, this particular video inflicted pain to me in multiple ways

I know people have probably already mentioned this, but if you're nervous about getting stuck in the raid farm and dying again, you can try having a redstone-activated stasis chamber that teleports you to a spot where you can escape easier.
