Why the heck doesn't the maker of those blocks have pre-taped corner pieces, or even just some aluminum corners?

Why don't you use galvanised sheet metal instead of the plastic and save a few steps

As I said in the first video, a proper sealing and waterproofing of the ICF and footer should prevent any bug intrusion. I also don't know what the bugs would eat...no wood.

Correct, the foam is not a food source for bugs but they can burrow up the wall in search of food (like a wood roof). This builder did an excellent job sealing his footer and waterproofing below grade. The BuildShield is an above grade precaution. Thanks!

This seems like a poor solution that labor-intensive! Why start at the top of the first course, and not at the bottom preventing those pests from even entering in the first place?

BuildShield also works as a firestop when placed higher in the wall. That being said, this builder has a large basement below grade so even though it looks like his BuildShiled is going at the top of the wall, it's actually on the lower portion of his first story. He will be going up another story from here. There is a learning curve with a product like this but we've found that once you understand how to install it and create a workflow, it installs quite quickly.

I think an average mason could lay 15 - 20 CMU in the time it takes to install this product at one corner. A solution in search of a problem is you ask me.

@Ethan ICF's advantages? Would that include termite infestation? That would make it a rotten apples vs oranges comparison would it not?
