Thinking I was signing up for an informal fun lap of an MX track, I soon discovered that I had in-fact entered my 640 Adventure in the mid-weight category of the annual Bukkerittet race, along with 11 very skilled enduro and MX riders. I hope I entertained the crowd as I came last!
Not only was this my first ever race, it was also my first ever MX experience, and on a bike with a full tank of gas (26 litres!) and with 1000 miles more to travel home.
