It's undoubtable that we're not. We just defined "intelligence" as whatever would make us win the competition and then we patted ourselves on the back for being the most intelligent. Its like that kid on the basketball court who says "whoever gets exactly 2 points wins! Anyone who goes over loses." right after they make their first shot of the game bringing the score to 24-2.
