I wish someone would do a questionnaire of couples that have been married for 30+ years. Ask them how they met and what the beginning of their relationship was like. It would need to be more than 1000 couples, and 10,000 would be even better. Then divide the data between meeting younger that 20 and older than 30. I met my wife in high school. So I do not have input for people dating in their 30’s.

I started seeing what advice is out there for men and I'm mortified, haha. Was just curious what kind of information is mainstream. From m what I gather maybe one or two people may agree with me, haha, but if you're a guy that has done work on himself and is self motivated in his life (health, fitness, job, friends, family, hobbies, spiritual/religious path) and wants a long term or life commitment then this isn't the advice for you. This advice would be for the guy looking for scrappy overall unfulfilling dynamics. It will attract an unhealthy kind of woman and she'll never be enough and you'll end up wanting a different woman who you can actually be the pursuing. It's natural for a man to go towards a woman and pursue her. Here he is saying let the woman lead, let the woman pursue you, let the woman take the relationship somewhere, make the decisions, let the woman be the initiator. If you do this then the guy is putting himself in the role.if the feminine and putting the woman in the masculine role. This is a very wounded way to go. Trying to stay safe. You'll get women, just not the right one (s). To each their own though. The guy should initiate, pursue, lead, always a step ahead. And you shouldn't want a woman where this is not genuinely activated within you all on its own. If she truly lights you up, this is natural. We should all be grown adults and know how to emotionally regulate ourselves. Everyone is so hyper focused on getting hurt. Hurt isn't because you love, because you care, because you trust.
