I did that several years ago on my old model Electra. The final torque at the rear wheel is definitely less,something you don't want in the hills. But yes, a was able to achieve 90kmph on a bike which felt stressed at 70 (have also double plugged it).

The pickup will also decrease and the top speed to coz the 18 teeth is for Re 500 not re 350 for more details u can check NCR motorcycles channel on thus topic

Was thinking about a 500 unit construction, the amount of work required to change a front sprocket when worn out is making me have 2nd thoughts. Had a gs500 Suzuki 10 years ago and did the same, didn't take as long and I did it for an improvement to mpg, wasn't worth the effort, it did lower rpm and a small improvement in mpg. Did it go faster ? Don't think so.

This setup is very for cruising on highways , this would work on hills but without Pillion . It can pull through congested traffic but you to downshifts more often, If you ride it like a bobber with single seat definitely it can cruise at 100 kmph for long hours and less vibration , but torque reduces a bit so its difficult to overtake at speeds like 80 or 90 kmph

Very simple & logical point bole ho Bhai,we have done done many experiments in Yamaha RXs on sprockets.Reduce rear wheel rim size to 1inch..u will get maximum pickup & top speed.

@@niteshec67 all other things remaining constant change rear rim to spoke(no alloys) 17 inch of CT 100 or Platina 3.00 tyres..u will get 10kmph more top speed with same pickup & mileage..

Cruising speed will increase. But the gearing on the 350 is not enough to turn 18 teeth on the front. I've done it. Top speed decreased greatly.

In my classic 350 i have changed from 16t stock to 15t and i enjoy stress free riding and less vibration and load on engine

Brother, the chain spoket size has a direct impact on the engine. There is 150 cc difference in between the 2 models and by putting this bigger size spoket will unnecessarily put load on the engine which u cannot notice all of a sudden. On a longer run the crank will get damaged. The manufacturer has put different sockets for these 2 models (350 cc and 500 cc) for some reason na?

I installed in my TB 350 2011 model but difference I feel initial pickup is reduced but while Cruising it can run very smooth in 100 but lot of jerks in low speed , you can't drive in 5 th gear less than 60km

Jo bhi ye video Dekh rha h, wo iss chiz ko Kabhi follow na Kare. Definitely pickup decrease hota hai Kam se Kam 0-100, 3 se 4 second decrease ho jata hai but top speed increase ho jati hai. 5-10km/hr

Classic's 16teeth sprocket is enough to increase top speed slightly and there no much effect on pick up as well. I wonder whether there are any sprockets available between 17-19 teeth. That will be an interesting trial.... By the way a good video with some nice explanation as ever!

On 350..it will be waste of money. Experience. Pickup(torque)will reduce a lot. Never dp if riding on hilly area . Speed -5kmph change approx,but the motor will have to rev more. Basically over killing the engine. Adviced Not to do

Fix STD -350 front sproket 15 teeth . Classic can drive 40 km speed at 5 th gear like STD. Intial pickup increase but top speed decrease.
