Hi Dan and Bill, he is out there somewhere. You've cleared all the waterways, so he must be down one of the mountainside s. Hopefully, one day he will be brought home. 🙏 You two have done your best. Take care and stay safe till next time. ❤️ ❤

Reminds me of a much shorter but just as torturous drive in the Canadian Rockies where we would ride our motorcycles up to hot springs and cabins. Only open during the summer because impassable in the winter.

Its awful to say but if he has careened off the edge of that road it may take anothet bushfire to expose the location of this vehicle.

Woah the evidence of a crash at 34.12 is incredible. While it looks like they hit those trees at a huge speed, it probably saved the person/people from going down a into the gully. That would have been the end for them for sure. Crazy roads, beautiful scenery. I bet it does smell beautiful with the Eucalyptus tree's everywhere there.

Oh gosh , you guys have been stompin, slinkin, around Victoria . I got a pang. Would have loved to have said hello. But I’m back and forth to Warracknabeal and Melbourne, with too many bloody woes to take care of lol. I follow everything you do. There’s nowhere near as much water here as in the states is there Bill ? Since following AWP a few years ago, I’ve been thinking: there’s GOT to be a lot of cars in the Yarra! -Stolen, at the very least, by yobbos. This is SO interesting. My home area. Looking forward to whatever you do in Victoria. Lotsa love from me. I look up to you

Wow what an incredible drive. I am shocked that with all of those accidents, that they haven't put safety guardrails around that hill or low speed/high accident signs along that road. I am sure the family are grateful for all you have done. You really did your best. I am pleased you and Dan are on the same wave length in terms of where to look and potential accident sites. Go well and stay safe.

The Black Spur is notorious. Another thing to consider as a distraction is a darn roo or wombat etc coming out in front of you. That instant...and you could be over the side and down a cliff face, buried from sight by trees and undergrowth. I have encountered many areas with roads not unlike this on my travels both in Victoria and other States. You have to reduce speed and be alert, it can be somewhat disturbing to drive. I admire you both for your dedication, the man hours involved in trying to locate this young man are commendable. Good job. Keep up the great work. ❤🦘

It doesn't look like you get wind there Janice. The trees are so straight. Do Eucalyptus's have deep roots? I know they are a hardwood, so I wouldn't want to hit one however that car seemed to have gone a long way before coming to a stop despite hitting something very hard. Its sad to see it there and the fire it caused. I hope the person got out somehow. 😞😞

@@lulunz6809 Hi Lulu, yes we can get some strong winds here from time to time. The Eucalypt tree is a hardy tree, it needs to be with our weather extremes however I understand that it is pretty shallow rooted but the roots can spread for quite a distance horizontally. The eucalypt can be a dangerous tree, it's said that they will hang onto their limbs in a gale but come a hot, still day, don't be camped under them, that's when it is likely to drop a limb. I must admit, watching this video, I was wondering whether the vehicle caused a fire or indeed a bushfire in the area may have just revealed the vehicle. The area appeared to have a lot of young growth and had been relatively cleared....just a thought. Either way, excessive heat was produced to melt and fuse the metals. Cheers mate. ❤🦘

@@JaniceFromOz2018 Wow those trees are crazy dangerous then. We have some here in NZ and they are always a blessing when you can get them as firewood. The wood burns for a long time and is very hot. I can see how it got hot enough to melt metal.

Great work guys. Even watching you drive that hideous road took my breath away. Got a question- are you not allowed to search the Maroodah Dam ? ( You mentioned he’s either there or off the mountain ). Great video too, That was really interesting to watch you work through your theories. And Bill couldn’t get over it , he kept going on about how mad dangerous the road is. They couldn’t print enough money to get me to drive that road - so, great job. Thanks

Those are dangerous roads, but thousands of vehicles travel them safely each year. People need to drive to conditions in order to stay safe. One thing that does happen is that too many drivers don't understand that you can't make those long descents with your foot on the brakes all the time, they overheat and suddenly your find they don't work; use gears to give you engine braking, even on auto vehicles, you don't need to use 'drive' the whole time. Also, you should never drive with your arm hanging outside the vehicle. Had a friend who suffered traumatic injury to his arm, nearly amputated it, by doing just that. Stay safe!
