Thomas you are completely right about not embarrassing someone like that. On the other hand from Axl’s point, he is standing in front of 50,000 people looking like a chump and he is paying the guy to make sure this doesn’t happen before he goes on and quickly fix when something goes wrong.

@@WarriorVinyard I somehow understand you. Axl was still a badass vocally & physically back then (in this video). The shows had energy even without Slash, Duff, etc. Talking about GNR of today we can't expect (obviously) such powerful shows as in their earlier days (time is passing for all) and Axl is now as a performer more like a parody of himself. I'm also of the idea that Axl, Slash & Duff reunited in GNR mainly because of money. Nothing wrong imo. I can't blame them. GNR is still a big money machine...but that's because of the people that want to attend their shows and we are talking about a lot of people.

on Rock in Rio 2001 the band made a bizarre mistake on the intro too.

This is why Slash is better off playing with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. Axl is a different guy nowadays, he is much more mellow. But he gained a few pounds and sounds like a muppet. But he is a lot nicer and that’s why Slash is playing with him again.

@@gnrfront axl seems cool now. I think doing the acdc tour really helped him. I guess in his mind, he was part of something that he considered bigger than himself, it forced him to become more of a team player. It was probably why the "not in this lifetime" tour ended up going so well.

In this concert there were several technical difficulties. Microphone broke more than 7 times, ronguitar was off

From my understanding, in the In Ear Monitor wasn't working so he coukdnt hear himself. Then he has to try to go louder to hear if he's singing in key and it messes with his vote. It kept coming unhooked or whatever. You see him mess with it a lot but he couldn't fix it. Roadie should have fixed it but didnt.

After shitty firecrackets busted part of the crappy set up of the sound equip...(drummer actually got burned), after slipping on the wet dirty stage (previous bands hammered with liquids no one cleaned up), Axl kept pushing through....Baz came on to sing My Michele, they played for hours and Mr.Rose had a blast in the end as he deserves. Great party

En pleno concierto no creo, si alguien perdió su trabajo es porque se lo merecía

que le pase 10 veces eso en un concierto importante como es el download, simplemente es porque no has hecho bien tu trabajo

Se enojó con el equipo técnico pq estaban haciendo un trabajo de mierda ya que no se podía escuchar a él mismo desde hace rato, que les había dicho como 5 o 6 veces y no hacían nada al respecto entonces axl perdió la paciencia y les formó el pedo y etcétera ajajajs

Cabe recalcar que todo el pedo se los formó por los in ear, ninguna persona en el público escucho a axl regañar al staff

What exactly did Axl do wrong here? There was tons of issues within his mic and he was frustrated by it. Everyone gives Axl shit without spending a day in his shoes and seeing what it’s like from his POV. Instead of saying no one should have to put up with the tantrums you should be saying no one should have to put up with a lackluster sound crew
