Back in the day , Bristle was the track I wanted to go see a race but it was sold out to returning fans every year. I live an hour from Rockingham and Darlington with Charlotte only 3 hr . I sure miss those great times but don't see the interest anymore. It was the rivalries that kept the fans going. Nascar itself caused some of the issues but I don't believe the younger generations are into cars or hp like we were. This is only my opinion and may be incorrect. I mean no disrespect.

I was at this race. My first time at Bristol. On TV you don't see a fraction of what goes on there. There is always someone about to wreck. And man it was cold that day. Hot chocolate replaced beer. The biggest cheer of the day is when the sun popped out for about 30 seconds.

the funny thing is, this race is said recently by Rusty to be the start of the "bump and run era". If you watch close, Jeff doesnt hit him hard (if not at all). Rusty chases the car up the corner in 3. Jeff barely touches him. Yet in 2002, Jeff crunches the plastic bumper cover doing the same. This one was on Rusty. 2002 is on Jeff!
