Thats a nice system if its only you and maybe one or two family members. Guests and delivery drivers would trash that in a month I am afraid. Still cool design.

The gate has a coil at its pivot. The gate is locked in such a way that you need a adequate amount of pressure before it even pops open. Which is perfect for the cars given the fact that the massive potential energy is transferred to the gate.

Possibly not closing if the wind is howling against it, and also coming back through it from the other direction. If the gate is self closing it has to hit a stop point which would prevent the gate swinging the other way..

This is nothing. I drive by a highway all the time heading into town and the farm dude has an invisible gate, you can see the castle in the field and none has left the field to this day.

I love it but I can see where it would get irritating to have to slow down and tap the gate and wait for it. Especially if you've used an automatic gate that you can have open for you before you get there via a remote.

Dai, cheaper than a remote. I don't have animals but need a gate and this one won't make the neighbors mad about having to get out every time to open it. It is perfect!

For ranch and farms where electricity may be far away or none at all. Allowing animals not to get out (cows)
