Having been in the terrace for that game, the joke about Dom having his own song immediately made me laugh. There was actually a very lengthy trial and error phase before we settled on the Kolo/Yaya Toure tune. I never thought about it before that day, but it's actually quite hard coming up with a song for a player with a monosyllabic first AND second name

14:38 A pet hate of mine too. Referees that decide there’s no point of injury time based on the score line. Although refs also tend to let a phase of play complete before blowing the final whistle rather than blowing it when the time is up (not sure if the latter is in the refs handbook). Anyway Mark had a valid point. The other pet hate is refs rarely give free kicks for back passes unless there’s no pressure on the defender. And since I’m here, the other is yellow cards for “professional fouls” and red cards for unintentionally denying a scoring opportunity. The law was originally brought into football to stop what is now called “taking one for the team”. Those yellow card offences for deliberately fouling a player to prevent them getting through on goal were the type of foul that (professional foul) that the red cards were intended for.
