funny you should say David brown ...i came to this vid just to see the order things went together for the steering wheel bearing for a 1972 ish DB 1210..as i could find no online vids or manuls for the 1210 or any DB..this one has been bodged before and had only 21 balls in the nut instead of 28 ..was 3/4 a turn off play before the wheal bearing colapsed thanks for the vid

My steering shaft had caged bearings and my repair kit came with loose ball bearings is there a difference thank you

Mr. Bear, I do enjoy your videos. I was so hoping that your 135 steering box restoration would help me on a 35 project. The only other gentleman that has information on this subject has, I think, given up, ( Fixin ThatUp ), after what seemed like fourteen segments.......... Lance does it matter the position of the ball race assembly on the shaft when putting it in the housing ?

Thanks for another couple of informative videos Lance. I missed you removing the cable ties. Went back to part one and although you said you were going to fit some cable ties you got side tracked. lol. Is the thread on the new steering shaft nut the same as the old one? Cheers Malcolm

Hello again Lance. I'm rebuilding the manual steering box on my 135 and I have a couple of questions. You say that you put 80-90 fluid in the box. My shop manual says to load it with 2 pints of grease; it says that for the power steering box as well. So, is the fluid option a better idea? I like the fluid option since when i took the box apart, there was grease everywhere except on the gears. Next question is on the side seals: do they go on springs in or springs out? Thank you sir.

On the steering column there are four bolts going through the base casting that hold the column. Mine has pulled this up and out of the base. Would you know the bolt size as I’ll need to replace mine but they seem to just be grub screws and not a bolt.

Lance thanks for sharing all of your knowledge! I’m about to tear into my 135 here in Georgia and attempt to fix PS leak in steering box. Do you have any videos that address this? It’s pouring out the top of the column! Thanks!

Hi Lance. I've keenly been following your series on the 135 and even picked up one myself a month ago. Is your model equipped with multipower? I have an issue with mine. There is no hydraulic flow. I have changed both of the filters for each hydraulic system. Any hints? Thank you Simon
