Speaking of PVC pipes, I bought a Behringer Neutron the other day and I was messing with it and I made a patch that sounded almost exactly like one of these instruments! It was insane!

I made something similar in the ‘90’s with my then 9 year old. Ours was white, and we put it together like a pan pipe. It could be blown into, or tapped. Fun.

Great! It is a tad bit out of tune, though. You should calibrate the tube tones with one of those sheap eletric guitar tuners for a fine adjustment of the tube lenghts However, as project for fun, it is awesome for sure! Well done!

Smooth criminal. I've seen a similar instrument,but they were capped with balloons. Maybe that 1 could be used as a rain chime instead of a wind chime.

Great. But there is a reason you don't use high notes in PVC pipe instruments. The higher the notes, the harder it is to hear the tone from the slap due to the amount of pressure needed in the slap to produce the tone. So you end up hearing more slap than tone. There just isn't enough reverberation in the higher notes to overcome the slap. Stick with MUCH lower notes, and you will have a MUCH better sounding instrument.

Its beautiful, but I would have tuned it prior to securing the pipes in. Plus I would make one side covered in wood to reflect the sound, similar to an acoustic guitar.

Thanks for your comment. I cut the tubes following some calculations that I saw on the internet, I'm sure it can improve using a tuner. I thought about putting something like a sounding board but finally i decided dont make (maybe i try to make it to see what happens). Thanks to see the video. Regards👍🏼
