You'll Find that my methods may be different than others.. and that's ok. I hope there is something you all can take from this (things to do and to not do! lol) and I hope to get much inspiration from all of you as we complete our projects.

Lauren, my sister and I are going to try this tomorrow so that we can learn some freehand quilting. I can't wait. Thank you for posting this. I had a couple of questions. I was thinking of adding 4" borders on the two sides to make it a little wider. How would you handle the extra border? Also, we are fairly new at this but it seems like it is easier for us to do one end of the quilt, advance, and do another end with her longarm. How do you quilt, advance, and then go back to a previous area? Thank you!

Deb Walter you can pin your quilt after you baste each side as you advance. then you can work around your quilt as much as you need without tucks and pickers all over. the extra 4 inch border piano keys would be nice and easy! 😉
