I've burnt myself out on yarn hauls and yarn videos, seems like they are just the same old thing pretty much anymore from most channels. I am more into it for the life updates now! Maybe I'm just in a mood or slump or something, not sure. I have more yarn than I need at this point cause fomo is a thing!! So I am trying to keep myself wrangled in on buying! It doesn't help that I drive myself crazy with trying to find the "right" project for the right yarn so I don't feel like I am wasting my time or yarns on projects I won't like that well. I drive myself crazy being so nit picky that I don't feel like working on anything. Ugh grown children! I am with you on that, my daughter is 20 and it is a struggle to live together at this point. I am still working on my 6 foot plastic canvas Frankenstein, I'm a tad bit over half way done, I need to post progress pics. I'm not sure I will ever take on a life size project like this again! lol It was such a cool idea in the beginning and will be so cool when finished, but man oh man I am at the point now where it's getting difficult due to the size of the pieces and such, it's hard to get a good rhythm going when it's awkward to hold! You go enjoy your game and kids! We all need a break or to change things up off and on so I totally get it! Love and hugs my friend!

I'm crocheting a red velvet elephant as a gift for a friend's daughter who is starting school at Univ. of Alabama this fall. I already made one and it turned out really cute. I am crocheting a shawl. I used to crochet a lot of shawls for donation but burned out on them; but I found some buttercream rainbow boucle in my stash, that I got on sale from JoAnn's. So, I am doing a brick stitch, v shaped shawl in the color honeysuckle. It is so soft an squishy, and it looks so summery in all the pink colors. Take a break! I enjoy listening to you while I crochet! Pretty soon you will get excited about a yarn or crochet project and you will have your cro-jo back!

Listening to my adult child, who moved back home after being homeless for many years and his nickname is chaos. He is very much like your son. There are several other people that I watch and enjoy but you I relate to. I might be 15 years older than you but that just means that I’ve gone through what you are going through just before you did and watching you figure out solutions that I was unable to come up with is so enjoyable. I love the color of that fluff. I was in Niagara Falls with my granddaughter from July 4th to July 8th. We went to the Laura Secord Homestead. The young lady that gave us a tour did some spinning on an older spinning wheel. She was using merino wool and silk, so soft and pretty. I also felt angora and some baby camel, both of these were so soft. You would have loved it. She had some beautiful hanks that could be purchased. She showed me all the fibers she had to spin with.🤗 I thought about you immediately 🥰 We then went on to Niagara on the Lake. It is a very nice little town. We took a carriage ride around the town and learned some of the history of the town. In regards to an earlier video you mentioned that you have been to all the great lakes except Lake Superior. I love watching you talk about your spinning, you just light up. I'm going to spin vicariously through you, lol. Since you have multiple wax warmers, you could try what I do. I let it cool completely and then heat for up to a minute, just long enough for the wax to barely melt on the bottom. Then I pop the solid wax onto a paper towel & wipe the liquid wax out of the bowl. Have a beautiful day!!

I was crocheting on a scarf that will be part of a Christmas gift using Lion Brand Ferris Wheel in the color Morning Java. It was so funny when I started your video, hours ago, life happened, but my 5 year old grandson heard you start talking and he comes over and looks and says, what she doing? You were showing the spun yarn. The whole Scentsy thing, hot wax, been there, no fun at all! The problem I have with my Scentsy warmer I have out now is that it is not a lighted one so I turn it on and forget about until hours later! It is the cat one from the Aristocrats. Love hearing about the homeschool journey. You will have so much fun with it!

That is a tool, not a toy! My son was ODD so we went through that fun and he is almost 40 and it has not stopped!

I am making a diamond patterned shawl and started a bright pink knitted cardigan with cable stitches, pockets, zipper closure, and hood. I worked on herringbone knit for a while and then found solace in the diamond pattern. I am getting back to my instrumental music and thinking about my video games--one called 'Tricky Doors' which is challenging and fun. The spinning looks interesting but I am good now with trying patterns and using up my stash. Drinking water is a must with all the heat.

Making a baby Dress for my 8 month grandbaby and started another Boggie blanket with Red Hear Fruity Stripe 2c2. Have a great day.

Try spraying very lightly the inside of your wax warmer dish with cooking oil. (Pam) Then let it cool to solid. It’s very easy to remove while it’s cool and very easy to dispose of. I even grate into my outdoor garden to repel some critters. I’m working on a Gansey afghan. It’s my third full size afghan. They’re all stitch samplers and great fun. If sometimes frustrating. It’s in the hundreds here in Augusta GA. Too hot to do anything except maybe read! Reading a novel by Jennifer Chiaverinni. I think you’d like her quilt and sewing novels too. Loads of history. 😊

I just got back from the beach, my oldest daughter seen what I made for my youngest one and likes it so I’m making one for her and her roommate which is like a daughter to me. I totally understand about little boys getting into something like your spindle. I have a telescope and when my grandson was 9 we told him you can't play with this, you can't touch it. When we went to pack it up months later we found all sorts of little pieces missing so now it's in storage with missing pieces. I'm glad you got the spindle working. Thank you Jen about letting us know about the yarn sale. I picked up 10 of the purple and found they had a gradiant purple pack of 3. I also found a coupon to get another 3.49 off and had free shipping so I'm pleased with the purchase. Can't wait for it to come in.

I have a nephew that was afraid of storms too so he studied weather channels to track and it seemed to help his fears a lot. I’m working on 3 knit projects a baby sweater, 2 afghans a crocheted German shepherd and a cross stitch of jars with flowers in them.

I wat h other channels but I watch more of the two of you than any one else. I consider the two families like mine and I really hope neither one of you shut down your channels. The gray with the blue would be gorgeous! I am almost finished with a crochet baby afghan, and still working on a crochet top for myself. Plus a couple of tiny, easy finish things for when I am sitting in doctor's appointments. The variety is to keep my crojo going. Plus I take a day off crocheting every 2 or 3 days or so, also to keep the crojo going. A solid summer tank top would be awesome. And take your time for yourself.

So I took Thur off crocheting 🙁 I had steroid injections in my shoulder & upper are this morning & just can’t after those. But finishing my top (modified Spring Fling top), my SIL beach cover up, & a friend’s shawlette (cause Premier new gradient yarn!), & a duster for SIL of a BOD pattern using the Premier DK Color Fusion in Tropical. These WILL all be finished before bed Sat evening! I don’t know how you consistently do 5 days a week & more to get ahead for some time off! You incited me to dig out my spindle and I bought a Turkish spindle. Every year during Tour de France spinners participate in Tour de fleece. I am practicing on my spindle each day for 10-30 minutes. I have made another (#8) emotional support chicken. I have a crochet throw on my hook and I just started a pair of fingerless mitts. Can you tell I have ADD😂😂.

Just finished a cotton blanket for my new grandbaby. Now working on a triangle shawl for my DIL to use to hide when nursing. Unfortunately, it's a #1 yarn and is just over 100 rows, and I'm only on row 15. Never worked with this size yarn before, and im afraid she'll be done nursing before I finish it!

Working on the last 4 inches of hand sewing on fabric to a 'Roseanne' afghan. Then going to move on to the Jayda in Stitches Summer Love Poncho or Happy Crafty Homemaker eyelet shawl. Then going to make your Dina's Shawl. At least that's the game plan.

Oh, Jen....I love you. :) You know I'm normal....right? I can't get my creative side to cooperate. I think it's cuz it's been so hot sometimes the air conditioning is straining to make the temperature tolerable....and we live in the North. I had to smile.... My granddaughter moved out this year and she's feeling all grown up. She said "Grandma! I paid my rent and have money left over!" I tell her I'm proud of her but I'm thinking "No, honey, no you don't". It will dawn on her soon...there's no such thing as leftover money. I am currently crocheting a top out of the Caron Coconut Cakes in the color Jam. I am late the party on the Coconut Cakes - so sad that they are not selling it any longer. I use muffin liners in my wax melters. It makes it so easy to change scents and clean up is a breeze.

If you prefer to continue doing five days and just talk to us that would be great too. I know no matter what we will be here to watch your videos. Good day Jen, you have been busy this morning. Be careful with that hot wax, I've got wax stains on my floor where i didnt get up fast enoubh when i spilt it. Today I'm working on making a floor mat (rug) for my dogs. They like laying under my bed on the cold hard floor. I have one skien of barnet that I can crochet up that mat pretty fast. Ill post a picture when its done.

Im not doing anything! We had Hurricane Beryl go right over our house a little after 4:30am Monday morning and it knocked out our electricity. We have no power, no a/c and no internet! I slept in the hot house Monday and Tuesday nights, but my godsister is the senior director of Univ. St. Thomas in Houston and they are allowing the staff to stay at the school in the hospital rooms used for training. My godsister and her family are staying in their RV so they have lights and a/c but to go to the restroom, they have to go into the house and theres no room for me. So, Im staying at the school. A/C, lights, internet and a kitchen and nice big restroom. Im watching youtube and movies but nothing else.❤❤❤

Yay you are spinning! The fluffy looks so beautiful! Over slept this morning it is so hot! lol I am not able to crochet right now because of the melting lol I have been playing Palia which is an MMO. I have not played Daylight Valley in a couple of weeks now either. I have been watching the Karen Reed trial and now I am watching the Baldwin trial with EDB. Usually I am crocheting at the same time but it is like a jungle here lately sooooo sweaty. I love when you just come on and talk be it yarn related or not. Don't get me wrong I love seeing what you have been making but that too goes for when you were sewing too. You are just a pleasure to be with (even when you are being spicy). I am sorry to hear about your spinning wheel, glad you were able to fix it. Was Lucas sorry? Even with an adhd child there is a need for boundaries. Smart as he is he is still only 10 and learning. I keep trying to complete a knitted blanket for my adult grandson. It is made from Lolodidit Harry Potter colorways. I have made squares from the different colorways. There are different patterns and letters ion each square. My issue is I keep making more squares so now I either need 3 more squares or I need to take 1 square away. I'm leaning to adding 3 more.😊

On my daughters IEP and all her medical records states she has Asperger’s with ODD ADHD/Bipolar. She had the diagnosis done at age 8 so trust me I feel your frustrations hahaha. Also I use to sell scentsy and the black raspberry vanilla was my ish right along with Johnny Appleseed and Amazon rain. I love those scents.

I'm in a bit of a slump myself. I'm trying to decide which of your recent tops I'm going to make. My DIL is a Scentsy dealer. I buy the round absorbers they have to suck up the hot wax. It's a cardboard back with a thick layer of cotton like fluff. Dip it in and no spills. Just anidea.
