My word, that horse had a lot of sole to trim off. I’m used to my flat-footed Quarter Horse, LOL! What craftsmanship this is. I am always in awe no matter how many times I see my horse’s feet get done! ❤️

What is the whole reason for horses to need this? I don't think I ever knew, it is interesting to watch for sure.
@lislaiya32113 жыл бұрын
I am not an expert but I think it is done because the areas of use are different from the original wild horses, e.g. that today's horses walk a lot on asphalted roads etc. The horseshoes then serve as support for the hard ground.
@marielawrence4683 жыл бұрын
Horses need shoes and to have there frogs and inside of the hoofs cut,the shoe keep’s the horses foot from being injure! The farrier comes to give the horse new shoes and make sure that his hoofs aren’t over grown!
@jayxoss50213 жыл бұрын
Question : why didnt you used a shorter nails to prevent its to coming out and polish it?
@TheFarrier3 жыл бұрын
The idea of a farriers nail is to exit the hoof wall then we clench the nail down. It acts like a crimp holding the shoe on tighter
@freddie1991d3 жыл бұрын
Being a new viewer I had 2 questions, are the horseshoes premade and you just shapes them a little? Other is why do they make the shoe nails so long they come out the tops of nail? I would think they could make them a little shorter so as to not have to have to shave them down and cut off.
@inhumanthoughts35093 жыл бұрын
The answer to the latter question is that its so the nail can be curved around the edge ao the shoe doesn't come of
