People be coming at soyeon at line distribution but cant recognize shuhua's tone when she sang whole chorus. Soyeon decided to make chorus the focal part on flower / hwaa, and shuhua soft calm tone fit like jelly

Yes! Her Voice fits perfectly and she shines. Sometimes i dont get Shuhua stans, its feels like the only time they will stop comlpaining, is when Shuhua sings the whole Song by herself

Don’t all the members sing that? Shuhua’s in the center for the dance, but Soyeon, Soojin, and Yuqi sing the adlibs throughout the chorus except for the one line Shuhua sings after Miyeon/Minnie’s prechorus. Correct me if I’m wrong but from what I hear, it’s multiple people singing the chorus.

This comeback is one of the best comeback from our girl. Every single song is best but this is one of the top 3 songs. Soyeon killed that rap, yuqi unbelievably hot with short hair, soojin super fired, miyeon absolute goddess, minnie don't even look like a real human but like a anime character, and shuhua .. super smooth melody and visuals. Everything this song offered us is perfect. PERFECT.

The reason (G)I-dle sounds so special and fresh every single comeback is because they try not to stick to the "generic" sounds and try to convey something of their own stories (not something their company decides to) making it more sincere. And still executing it in a beautiful/fun way. Every comeback Soyeon tries something new, like whistling and downed tone drop in Hann, Trumpet from Senhorita and off beat tempo rap, Uh-oh, the first boom bap k-pop song, Lion and Oh My God I don't even need to explain. Even in their most "generic" title, Dumdi Dumdi, they bring something fresh like Minnie's part and rap flow of Soyeon. If you listen to their albums you could find Soyeon and Minnie constantly trying to bring new sounds (like using mouth and claps to make the main beat in Luv U). This is why I, as a Korean who doesn't really listen to much of K-pop, listen constantly (G)I-dle and BTS. They remain as creative musical artists despite remaining as idol and I think that is how the industry should follow.

This song made me cry. You said it seems like this song is inspiring . . . that's TOTALLY what this song is about . . . fire burning away the cold, and flower representing spring coming again. Shuhua at 2:14 did me in. The set of her jaw, and that defiant glare as she sings "Light up a fire" . . . it was a defiant "fuck you" to winter (aka 2020, if you want my opinion) that hit me hard, and brought the waterworks. That look at 3:18 was just icing on the cake. I needed this song. These ladies killed this song. There are so many layers. It was subtle, patient, unrelenting . . . a gorgeous work of art. It's not one of the "bangers" that I'm gonna turn on when I wanna get pumped up. This is one of those songs I'm gonna turn on when I need to feel better. It's astounding. Thank you, as always, for reacting.

What we felt while watching can be related irl. In the beginning of the song it was cold and dark just like 2020 then the transition to bloom and burn at the end like people needed the spark to be inspired to take on 2021. That's what the girls gave us. That's why this comeback is one of the most anticipated and the girls delivered! BTW, all the songs on the album are straight FIRE! every song!

I'm not sure people caught on but 火花 which is how they wrote Hwaa in hanja means "burning flower" which is why I think "I burn" isn't the clearest translation of their title track I dunno, just a tidbit I guess?
