Not to mention, your humor is the cherry on top and helps me feel less stressed about Comptia A+ and instead look forward to completing these videos and facing the test with confidence.

I think that this is great for those like us who are just finding out about things like: solid state drives, (computers without hard disks with defrag and scandisk utilities), etc. Do they still have CMOS batteries in them? This may be one of the answers in my quest for learning about the PC issues and A+ of 2023-24. Great!

Use of ESD equipment has always been a contentious issue. More so because it is possible to 'wound' components, shortening their life expectancy without breaking them altogether. Some factors to bear in mind are: Here in the UK static build up is often far less than in the arid, air-conditioned offices of Silicon Valley where these standards were set. But not always. Laptop components are less robust, and you don't have a handy metal chassis to discharge into. Employers may require techs to use ESD mat and wrist strap as part of quality assurance. For field engineers, ESD equipment adds to the mystique of your job, emphasising that there is more to it than changing a lightbulb.

Hi, a couple of questions regarding the difference between HDMI and DP. HDMI is currently sitting at version 2.1, which allows for Variable Refresh Rate as well as 120hz 4k display. A newer version of the audio passthrough Earc was added as well. Now previously DP 1.4 was used primarily for gaming because of the VRR support and higher refresh rates as well. Whereas an HDMI cable was previously limited to a 60hz 4k output without variable refresh rate (meaning your display would not adjust to frame drops during gameplay, leading to jutter. Compare this to a 144-240hz refresh rate which varies during frame drops, and the reason for using DP with monitors over hDMI cables for monitors is monstrous. Not sure how applicable that is to this this lesson, but it's important IMO.
