Have you ever wonder where the money we give to a nonprofit organization goes? How is it manage? Is it different than a business? Are they dealing with cost structures, payroll and all those “admin costs”? Most answers for these questions get complicated depending on the case; however what Diana have found is that for some reason we have created a strong link between non-profit organizations and altruistic pro-bono activities. On her talk, she explores an innovative idea to give the nonprofit sector a more competitive advantage to get the best of the best to solve the biggest challenges they confront day in and day out.
Diana Ruano is a bilingual/bicultural (English/Spanish) international fundraiser with over 15 years of experience in both the private and nonprofit sector. Currently she develops and leads the private fundraising strategy for the United Nation´s World Food Programme in Spain. Previously at Daryl Upsall Consulting International, she successfully led a range of projects, including for UN agencies, major international and small NGOs in new market entry studies, implementation of fundraising strategies, and strategic reviews of current fundraising programs.
