How do you set up a great charity? Sometimes, it might just mean that you learn from a series of accidents.
Dr Hugh Rayment-Pickard is a co-founder and Director of Development of the education charity IntoUniversity. Before that, he worked for over 20 years as a priest in Church of England parishes in London’s East End and in Notting Hill.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Charities must never loose sight of their mission statement and those who need their help.

really good presentation and its so true what this man said about charities that lose sight of the mission statement and get preoccupied with securing funding for survival instead of upholding the original vision for the charity to thrive...

Where I register

Hello, I am curious to learn if it is possible (or even already exisits) to register a human being as a walking charity filter? So any company that "donates" pro-bono services to that person, who is using it to continue working on helping a charity hub of sorts, can receive basics like "covered travel/housing and food" all in the name of meeting bare-minimum criteria to continue helping a greater cause. ^and those companies that do so, can receive an official receipt of sorts. How could something like this be hashed out? Thank you
