I live in a motorhome full time and travel around Europe in it. I spend most of my time in Poland, Germany and Italy. Vanlife is my life.
In my KZfaq channel, I present reviews of recreational vehicles. I do this by regularly attending trade events such as CMT Stuttgart, Abenteuer und Allrad, Caravan Salon Dusseldorf, Warsaw Caravan and Camping Show and sometimes others.
I cover equipment, including 12v electrical equipment and talk a lot about lithium batteries.
I also show some of the places I have visited in Europe in my own motorhome, as well as the places you can stay at! I try to give as much coverage as I can to official campsites and free places which I use for overnighting. Therefore you can find here the aire or stellplatz that you are possibly looking for.

Having owned both Fiat motorhome and side kitchen VW I found the Ducato was excellent for holidays but we never used it for day trips. VW used 40% less fuel and we could use car parks with height restrictions. Next time I'll try a 6 metre van conversion 👍

I am impressed with your fuel economy in the VW Andrew. Although a totally unfair comparison, I found that my 1992 VW camper burned much more than my 1998 Fiat Ducato campervan! The height restriction is also a major issue - and becoming an even more major issue!

It maybe a Burstner but it's let down because it's on a ford transit base vehicle. Have Ford sorted all the injector issues yet? And then you've got the wet timing belt issues too!

In my Transit, I had a problem with condensation, although I did not realise what it was, nor did any of the garages I took it too. The solution was incredibly easy, although extremely difficult to figure out.

I like your reviews until you refer to a camper as car. You can sleep very comfortably in a camper you can’t in a car. Not everyone wants a big motorhome.

Agreed. I appreciate the videos, but the logic is flawed. Imagine if he ever found out that people camp in tents!

Tents - that is luxury!! When I started camping, I used a groundsheet over a sleeping bag!

I think you might have misunderstood me. I don't want a big motorhome as I would miss most of the exciting places I can get to in a comparitively small motorhome. However you could use a similar mattress topper in a car that is often proposed in these small campers.

@@VanlifewithAlan what exactly makes a campervan a campervans is an interesting one, isn't it? Whilst welcome, I don't necessarily think a toilet and shower are the essence of a campervan, just as they aren't to a tent. But please, do attend a tent exhibition on our behalf, and tell us that each tent lacking hygiene facilities is in fact a barn! Appreciate the videos and the humour 👍

i dont like these cars/vans. if youre oing that small, get a kit box system for the rear that can be removed, you have the same features, then you can move to different vehicle, remove to save weight.. doesnt make sense

But that would mean having to go outside to cook, which the weather may not allow. I'd prefer a removable side kitchen like the Vangear ones, but not many people make them.

@@fantastigruff ive seen small car/vans where everyone had to go outside in the rain while people cooked, or made up the bed, and with no bathroom you have to go outside anyway, also the rear door if it lifts up is a shelter, and a lot of people would put up an awning on a small vehicle, but ny having a kitbpx that costs a few thousand, compared to the vast price of these VW type car campers, much better value, the removable side kitchens are very good, ive seen some kit setups that are different box systems, some side kitchen removable, they seem the best of both as you can move the pieces around, and some of the boxes can go outside as seating/table as well as kitchen

@@neoaliphant Yes, there's always some compromise isn't there? And you're right - it's hard to swallow compromise at the prices of some of the campers on the market!
