The Faroe Islands, a remote country located at the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean with a small population and a rather interesting bus network. In this video I tell you more about public transportation, how to plan your journey, etc. This includes a trip report on bus line 300, from the ferry terminal of Tórshavn to Vága Floghavn (the airport of the Faroe Islands). When you arrive or depart from here, you most likely end up at one of these spots.

You also sometimes have to call a specific phone number, and tell the busdriver if you want him/her to stop at certain villages at specific preset times shown on the timetable. The timetable will tell you if you have to do it. It's usually only required in remote villages during weekends and holidays, and stuff like that. :)

This is exactly how I got around on the Faroe Islands. The bus even takes you to the most remote places!

Great trip. Road trip in this country looks amazing, no matter taking rent car or buses. The blue bus is remind me about another blue bus with yellow accent at UK.

Heerlijke video. Maaruh... die roundabouts in de tunnel zijn heel gangbaar in Noorwegen hoor. Deze op de Faroer is zeker niet de eerste noch de enige :-). Overall: geweldig verslag! Dankjewel.

Ik denk dat dit niet de enige tunnel is met rotonde, echter is het wel de eertse rotonde ooit onder een oceaan (/zee). Is echt zo mooi daar.

Yes, but all their tunnels with roundabouts are above land. This one is under the ocean. :) Fun fact, the Norwegian branch of the company NCC built all the under-sea tunnels in the Faroe Islands. :)
