All kinds of buses in the great city of Dubai!
The Public Bus Transport system in Dubai is run by the RTA. The bus system services 140 routes and transported over 109 million people in 2008. By the end of 2010, there will be 2,100 buses in service across the city. In 2006, the Transport authority announced the construction of 500 air-conditioned (A/C ) Passenger Bus Shelters, and planned for 1,000 more across the emirates in a move to encourage the use of public buses. ~Wikipedia

The same month you were in Dubai the same month I was in Bangladesh and India. Although in the Middle East I was in Qatar where such a good video was ruined.

I don't see the point of the buses having backwards facing seats like on a train. The reason the train have 50% of the seats turned the other way is because when the train gets to the end of the line it doesn't turn around but simply reverses direction. That allows at least 50% of the seats to be always facing whichever direction the train is going. But I can't figure out the advantage of having such a seating arrangement in buses.

Low-floor buses don't allow 100% foward seating without waste of space.

@@zaciagajacy-warszawiak In the USA our city buses do not have backward facing seats and all of them are low floor buses..so that cannot be the reason.

@@exoressdelivers70 Buses in USA have less doors and more seats than in Europe (Dubai uses European-style buses), something can be with this.

@@zaciagajacy-warszawiak each set of bus seats have the same dimensions and take up the same amount of space whether they are installed backwards or forwards. So there must be a reason other than saving space due to low floors. The only advantage I can think of is that it would allow groups of four people traveling together to face each other and have a conversation. Or if those seats are empty you then can use them to store packages on.

@@exoressdelivers70 Whatever you think doesn't matter when there are facts. How american buses are designed doesn't matter when you're talking europe-designed buses. They are completely different from the ground up. Seating arrangement is due to space use and efficiency and nothing else. Period.
