I am an organic homesteader and I would have to use some very controlled spraying on that fence row. I see light years of shredding and mowing . I never knew wisteria could be so invasive.

Yeah, we can see the house from the road. Looks fantastic

You might try staking down a large black tarp over the sites where the invasive plants are . After a couple of weeks the combination of heat and lack of sunlight will kill everything. Then you can plant grass.

Wisteria killed the privet tree, lol

You need a small utility trailer (6'x8') that you can pull with an ATV or your tractor. You can load all your clippings onto the trailer and make one trip to the burn pile. Hand carrying all of the clippings is very labor intensive and time consuming.

You know their has to be something natural to kill wisteria. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

When we bought our property we had a 20 ft wide at least by 30 ft tall 100 ft long privet hedge. I hired someone to cut it down with a chainsaw. We stacked and burned it sprayed the new growth with Roundup (back in the day). Then we kept anything new from dropping seeds and pulled up small ones with our hands to stop the root growth because it will come up from the roots . 41 years later little to no privet hedge. Would be none with regular maintenance.

One word concerning the Wisteria ...,Napalm....

Would you consider putting in chickenwire fencing along the front, to stop the chickens from wandering out onto that road?

Some of your trees and bushes were planted by birds over the year. We have sunflowers in our front yard that the birds planted. We leave them until they die and then we use them for compost. We have a vegetable garden in the back.

Wisteria doesn't die, it likes to be mowed, it shoots more roots then, just like vinca. I have the vinca crawlies. Just stay on top of it.

The front yard looks a lot better . To protect them I would stake all of your fruit trees at least until they are big enough to withstand heavy weather etc. If you put a triangle of stakes around them it will protect them from being bumped while you work. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well ❤
