Satisfying! Mowing New Reclaimed Fields On 140 Year Old Farm Never Ending Mowing Privet and Wisteria

THE OLD BYRD FARM

THE OLD BYRD FARM

Күн бұрын

In this episode of Old Byrd Farm, join me as I tackle the overgrowth on our 140-year-old farm. Previously, we cleared massive patches of privet and wisteria that had taken over parts of the fields. Now, those areas are starting to grow back, and it's time for a cutting session with the bush hog to reveal the beauty of our tamed fields once more.
Watch as I navigate the fields, mowing down the encroaching growth and maintaining the land. This essential farm task not only keeps the fields manageable but also helps preserve the history and charm of this historic farm.
Join me in this satisfying and transformative journey as we continue to reclaim and maintain the timeless beauty of Old Byrd Farm.

A guy who loves his dogs! Me too. Tomorrow we travel half the state in the hottest weather to pick up our new golden retriever pup! We lost our 13 year old Australian shepherd earlier, so now I'm setting myself up for another heartbreak down the road, because dogs just don't live long enough! Anyway, happy day tomorrow! Keep on killing that wisteria!

Robert, love watching your videos and hoping you are able to make great progress on the house. I received the wisteria candle ( in the blue and white cup & saucer) on Monday. It is beautiful and smells wonderful. Also, I appreciate the packing job you did. It was well protected. Wisteria is the perfect fragrance due to the amount of wisteria on the farm. Thanks again!

The field looks great! It’s always amazing to see how well everything mows up on the farm, even the boggy area this time. I saw someone say that was a Pond’s cream jar-pretty sure that’s what it is. Having the water available is so nice-the electric, air conditioning, water, windows…you are making so many improvements! I know it’s hard work, but you have to be proud of your progress! Take those frequent breaks to stay cool and hydrated please. 😊

You work so hard and it really shows with how great the OBF is looking. What a difference mowing the grass makes, plus taking out the old tree. Looking awesome!😎🌳 Brian posted a video recently of him and Walter cutting down an old black walnut tree in the backyard of he and Stacey's new house. Black walnut trees must be a pretty common yard accessory...until they're not an accessory anymore and need to be brought down.😕 Brian also posted a video of him installing white folding doors that look a lot like yours on the OBF. I noticed that right away because I think they're so attractive and I love them.

We have a few acres in a rural area of our home county. I mow it with a compact tractor and rotary cutter ("bush hog") like you. It's a good feeling to open up your land by knocking down old, rotten trees and high weeds. You feel like you've somehow made your property more beautiful and usable!
