Great honest review fella, I use the firebox stove and it's excellent comes with a few more attachments than the bush box, wished I had got it in titanium as like the bush box stainless steel comes in a nearly at 1kg. Loved the breakfast needed a nice runny fried egg on top for me 👍😁

Good review Andy! The firebox’s are hinged too, I have the nano and love how easy and quick it is to set up. I went and bought a titanium Honey Stove recently and I love it to cook on but OMG! what a faff to clip it all together! 😄 Thanks for the detailed review - ATB, Mark 👍

Good explanation and use of the stoves. The best for myself is the Folding Firebox Nano Gen 2 in titanium. Along with the X stand for it to sit on and even as a case for it. All of it fits inside a stuff sack to keep everything clean. I like the fact it's a nice size for a solo hiker , will take triple fuel ( Alcohol burner , Wood or fuel tabs ). Best of all it will take long sticks as well as short ones. The beauty of it is the assortment of different stoves on the market for campers to choose from.

I learned the hard way...bought the bushbox, but ended up ordering the firebox... You get more versatility and control over the burn with a firebox... There's a waiting list for the Ti. Version...but if you just order the stove you won't get screwed on customs tax..cos it comes in under £135. Order any extras from within the UK. 👍

Hi Kent, this is your first video I've watched and I've subscribed to your channel. This is really nice and have inspired me to buy the bushcraft LF and XL. That condiments, herbs and flavourings pouch looks awesome. I would like to make one just like that. Could you please send me the link to buy that pouch as well as the containers for storing the herbs and condiments? Also, if its not too much trouble, could you also make a video showing the things that you have inside the pouch? I noticed some paprika and assume you have the basic salt and pepper in it. But if you could do a video to share your preferred choice of seasonings, that would be great. Thanks

@@kentsurvivalgearreview586 Thanks for your reply, Andy. Do you use the LF more because it is a “just in case” type thing? i.e. in case you can’t have a fire or just because you need a quick exit in the morning and don’t wish to leave a fire pit to extinguish. That’s my thinking anyway, so for what “we” mainly do, I can see why sir. Cheers pal 😉👍🏼 Tim

Why don't I learn?!) - I guess I'll try the little Chinese one and that will help me decide which size Bushbox to get when the time comes. This is an expensive option. The slot together wood burner you showed is fiddly for sure, but not by much. Those stoves lend themselves to the stainless steel versions rather than titanium for sturdiness. I like to cook using a Trangia fuel burner and find the Lixada type stoves (as in your review, but many other brands available) are better. The burner fits in the stove, is well insulated and still allows the cross bars for resting pots large and small unto. It comes down to price. Around £20 for the slot together stoves to Bushbox prices three times at least more expensive. I remain to be convinced, while admiring the design.

Wow. 3rd video of yours I've seen. I love the plate, cup, and spice case. Im contemplating the pico(small) and the LF, imma compare to the firebox first tho...depend on price I reckon...I mean I'm fortunate to finally not care about money but no reason to waste it considering how much preparing we need to do consider our global status. Honestly I just like the pico bc of it's small size, but am worried about longevity. I guess it's enticing as a backup. PS, plz lemme know where to find that or similar spice case and plate ...I guess I could make the plate...but the spice case is dope. Maybe make one outta glass vials and leather and make it roll up thou...idk

I feel you were a bit mean to non hinged boxes here Andy! They're not that difficult to put together, Even the non rip offs cost much less and have many pros over the bush box. The titanium wildcamping int one if fantastic and you can double it up to make two which is great for more space and heat. The honey stove is another good example. Overall i agree they're more superior but at least compare with a good one! ??

Hi Martin... I have nothing against them for occasional use or as a first stove.. mine was, just that imo the bushbox is worth the extra cost.. especially if you use them very often.. the one i showed is the only one i currently own so the only one i can show to compare i.m afraid.
