Dial Eleven offers videos of resorts, restaurants, cafes, historical spots, and various other tourist attractions in the tropical Philippines.
Now that it is difficult to travel abroad, I would be very happy if you could experience the feeling of actually traveling to the Philippines through my videos.

Out of all foreigners coming to the Philippines, Japanese is among the best cause they are taught to be respectful from an early age so it's quite natural for them to respect the county they visit. I wish other tourist or expats vising Philippines can be the same. Always good to be respectful and humble.

If you told me that Yoshi was a Pinoy who learned how to speak Japanese fluently, I would've believed you! I mean, he could seriously pass as one of my relatives! Great video! And best of luck with the business Yoshi-san!

Yoshi, has a very chill and easy going vibe. Hence, his restaurant staff are giving it back to him by being panctual and good at their job. That's how filipino are if they have a good boss they excert more effort to do a good job on whichever role they have. Learned something new too about the 20/80% rule its totally true. Watched ur two videos 1st the family that loves taho and mountain climbing and yoshi both are awesome videos.

"What made the Dumaguete people take up kendo?" "Basically, they are geek(otaku). Samurai culture, "Samurai X(Rurouni Kenshin)", "Demon Slayer(Kimetsu no Yaiba)", etc. 😂😂😂 Lol, that is sooo true. Filipino here and can confirm. It's because of these shows that some had interest in Kendo. Me and my cousin would always geek out when we talk about anything related to any weapon-based martial arts. While I'm more interested in HEMA now because of some KZfaqrs discussing about medieval cultures like Skallagrim, Shadiversity, and Metatron, I wouldn't say no to Kendo either if someone offered and if I have time and energy to put effort into.

For me, as a Japanese, it is an interesting event that Filipinos are interested in Japanese kendo. By the way, I'm interested in Filipino arnis so I would like to learn it if I have a chance😁
@randomstranger_3
@randomstranger_3 Жыл бұрын
@@dial11 While I can't speak for the rest of us, I think it's probably because of this thing called rule of cool. Most Filipinos tend to follow something that is cool and it could literally be anything. Samurai and Katanas are definitely one of them because if they aren't cool, no Filipinos would want to take such arts. If you have the chance to learn arnis, do it. 👍That's actually one of my bucket list of martial arts that I wanted to learn. Reason for why I wanted to learn it is that from what I've heard, you could use any everyday object into a makeshift weapon like sticks for example or anything that is blunt. Perfect for situations you needed to defend yourself with.

Filipino kids nationwide grew up on Voltes V, Daimos, Dragonball Z, Gundam, Godzilla, Karate Kid, Samurai X/Ruoroni Kenshin, Ghostfighter, Slam Dunk etc.

It's very hard for some of the older Filipino generations as they remember the time Filipinos had suffered under the Japanese control of PI during WW2. Women were tortured raped, babies killed, men tortured by the hundreds. But most Filipinos are welcoming and forgiving, as long the Japanese return the favor in kind.

Thank you for your comment. Although what Japan did to the Philippines during World War II is absolutely unforgivable, we Japanese may be trying to forget the past, taking advantage of the kind and accepting Filipino people. Shamefully, there are many people, especially among the younger generation in Japan, who are unaware of what Japan once did to the Philippines. We Japanese should not take advantage of the kindness of the Filipino people, but face the past and continue to learn from it.

@@dial11 History should be taught on both sides. We can continue to learn from it but we should also understand it's from a different generation and different context. Even my grandfather who was part of the war moved on before he passed away. There were some Japanese visitors in my province decades ago and they were welcomed warmly. One became a godfather to my cousin. In my understanding, Japanese visitors have represented themselves well and consistently in the Philippines after that. Investors have invested so much in our industries and employed so many Filipinos. Japan is a reliable economic partner. Japan is also helping the Philippines prepare for conflict in the West Philippine Sea. Japanese visitors comprise a large portion of tourist arrivals. Many Filipinos go to Japan to tour, study or work. The United States also committed atrocities against Filipinos during the Phil-Am war but it became one of country's biggest allies and economic partners.

At first I thought he seemed open-minded, positive and generally like a really cool person. But the more I watched, the more I felt that he may be depressed (?).
