I was at that Viking/Seahawk game too and Kittle's correct about everyone on the sides thinking Walsh made that field goal. It was so short you didn't think there was any way he could miss it as long as it wasn't blocked. After he kicked it I remember immediately looking at the refs who signaled no good and then looking around and seeing everyone around me high fiving and hugging each other. My brother was celebrating and screaming into his phone about how the vikings just won the game. I slapped him in the chest and said he missed it. He looked at me confused and said no he didn't. I told him to look out onto the field and said "do you think all those Seahawk players are running around celebrating because he made it?"

Did he find out and immediately take action, or turned a blind eye to it for years until the dam was about to break and it was going public and allow Sandusky to victimize more kids in that time frame. From every description of JoePa, he sounds like a stand up man so I doubt it’s the latter, but I guess we’ll never really know
