In Calgary, a few years ago, there was talk that there was an arianism problem in Lethbridge. Is this true?

Thank you for the interesting video! My father was born in the Gault...many years before it became a museum, of course! Sadly he passed away two months ago. During his illness, I spent several months in Lethbridge this year, helping him and spending as much time as I could with him. Anyhow, I love the city. It's beautiful, not too busy, all sorts of amenities, and it's so much more affordable than the west coast (I'm live near Vancouver). I'm seriously thinking about moving there in a few years. After doing the math, I realized I could sell my home, take my half (have to split it with my ex), purchase a nice small home in Lethbridge, and not only have a small next egg leftover, but also - I'd only have to teach piano 2-3 days a week! (Instead of the 5-6 that I teach now!) I'm totally rambling, but I do have a question: Can you please tell me if the city has a healthy live theatre scene?

Hi! As a theatre researcher and teacher of the fine arts in Lethbridge, I can tell you that it is mediocre. We have one major theatre company here, one queer one, a few semi - professional companies and quite a few community theatre companies and projects going all year round. We only have one major theatre venue, and one University one. There are a few other designated spaces for theatre shows and projects, and we hold outdoor theatre shows, such as Shakespeare in the Park, every summer. Work is hard to come by if you’re looking to gain employment in the theatre scene, and you have to know people to get in. Diversity and range is getting better (in terms of celebrating different cultures in theatre), but has a long way to go. We are no where near the status of Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary or Edmonton. If you love live theatre and want to live and work in this industry in AB, I’d suggest Edmonton or Calgary - both have thriving live theatre, music and arts scenes. Hope this helps you.

Is the 45000 sq ft LDS Temple on the west side near Copperwood a myth ?

The site for the temple has already been announced by the church which means they already own the land. Once they get city design approval, expect construction to start possibly in 2024/25. " On September 5, 2023, it was announced that the Lethbridge Alberta Temple would be constructed on a property of more than 9 acres located at the corner of Whoop Up Drive West and Mauretania Road West in Lethbridge. Plans call for a multistory temple of approximately 45,000 square feet and an accompanying distribution center."
