I only went to Middle Footscray station once, but that was enough for me to understand why it's so popular amongst Melbourne railfans. It's served by Comeng and HCMT trains on the Sunbury Line, but the station is also in between the Regional Rail Link on one side and the dual-gauge freight / interstate passenger line on the other. This means that you'll see a good variety of both passenger and freight trains at Middle Footscray.
There was still some time available before I needed to get back to Tullamarine Airport for the return flight to Auckland, so I took the opportunity to catch a Route 96 tram down the former St. Kilda railway line as far as Albert Park. That section of the video features the C2 and E class trams; of which there are five and 100 examples each.
