I still prefer straight up flying, because this takes insane skill to do, does it look cooler though obviously. There would be loads of people unable to do this and that would put the company under constant fire to change it to just regular flying. It would be difficult for me too, lying in bed, I don’t have the best setup with the keyboard and mouse.

@@CocoonsLastHope But that is the whole point, you dont have to fly like that. We have so many mounts to pick from who goes fast, glide, climb, jump and so on. So there is a option for you to get this good or like me just use the mounts as you want without being a master on it.

@@uniquename111 Ark Survival griffin as it’s called on their game has similar movement mannerisms to the GW2 griffon. I noticed that recently, I guess I can play around with that griffon. Especially since you can pull off so many things without touching the ground. Cause you actually slam into the ground but you don’t land on it lol, unless you press space bar. I wonder if perhaps they got the movement idea from Ark, because it really is very very similar. But it’s best to just leave it’s speed alone, increasing it, makes it look ridiculous, especially if you press the sprint button. But increasing the speed and not using sprint it’s cool. But than you can’t do those manoeuvres as they activate on sprinting. I kinda prefer the Ark one at the moment, I guess cause no matter what it actually flies and I don’t need to climb up stuff. I can just keep performing stunts over and over and have continuous fun.

@@CocoonsLastHope I have to agree, WoW griffons are better choice. GW2 griffons are great for those with the spare time to get to the skill level in this video, but there are few like this. I've never met or even seen anyone in game who can do this, only on YT vids. At least GW2 gives us skyscales which are much more practical, although those are gated behind an incredibly tedious achievement line. As with so many MMO game mechanics, WoW does flying better, it's not innovative the GW2 mounts but it's the best balance of accessibility and fun for the broadest audience of players (And this is from a dedicated GW2 player, I don't even play WoW anymore).

@@Karfunkelfuchs I was just a little bit sad you didnt do a flyby of the claw for style points, though depending on what pahe its in and what attacks it does at that moment it might have interrupted the flight xD

It's actually very similar to aiming in a FPS game. You train your muscle memory and you fly a certain path a lot of times. Sooner or later you know that path and how to react. It takes a while but its super fun ♡ thank you!

@@Karfunkelfuchs i have a question now. No matter how hard I try, it seems I can't gain height higher than I started. I can only ever reach my original starting height. Am I doing something wrong or is the game restricting it?

@@SinisterSlay1 It's totally normal. Griffon can fly forever but the maximum height you can reach is the initial height you started :)

@@thevindicator557 oh ok that explains it then. Well with the guides from these videos I was able to learn to control my Griffin, and got gold on all the adventures. They seem so easy now. Griffin is lots of fun, sometimes I'll just go to a place and fly around for a few minutes for fun, swooping down on the people below.

@@MrDJJ113 If you combine either springer (using the launch trick) or skyscale+bond of vigor and a lvl2 Jade Bot gliding booster or better, you can launch up into the air and do a boost dive with the griffon from flat ground. You can do it with just skyscale+bond of vigor if you're on a slight hill. If you want more room, you can be on top of any modest size wall/rock/building in seconds with skyscale/springer, then do one of the above 2 combos and away you go :)

I did upload a tutorial how to fly on a griffon, maybe it could help.

@@llettell298 In Queensdale it's the water tower or the castle itself. On Gandarren Fields there is a wall you can climp up with a skyscale close to the start point of the beetle race, or you go on the tower at ascalon settlement.
