I own this and happy with it so far. I think you need to realize it's a small vac for small jobs and it's nothing fancy. I honestly only made it halfway through your video and with all the complaining i think you should either throw it out or if you have a wife give it to her lol.

Thank you for this video. Return it for a replacement if you can... We went through four different (ridiculously insufficient) handheld vaccums before buying this one and I haven't been happier! A friend recommended this vacuum to us and we all agree that it is the most amazingly awesome handheld vacuum any of us have ever had.

the round accessory, if you take the hairs/bristles off, it fits to many Dewalt tools. 😀

It has its place. As an electrician, if I’m working in an office setting it’s perfect for sucking up the dust/scraps and insulation without having to bend over. If there’s any big pieces I can pick them up by hand or sweep them up after and to me it’s still more convenient than the traditional style.
@KBFM25644 ай бұрын
Thanks for the video. But like a lot of others, I think you’re missing the use case for this product. It’s basically a shop grade dust buster. If you need to clean your shop floor that has dust and much larger items, I recommend using your shop vac … it’s not that much more of hassle and the shop vac has more suction and a larger entry path.

I bought one of these a month or so ago. I also got some cheap, aftermarket filters and some foam socks to go over them. The plan is to take extreme care of the original DeWalt HEPA filter and use it only in the house. The others will get blown out with an air gun regularly, which I suspect will 'open them up' a bit for even better suction. These better flowing filters will be covered with the foam socks and used in the shop, or anywhere else power is more important than HEPA filtration. The foam socks can simply be shaken off in the waste can and hand washed in the sink, then squeezed out and hung up to dry. So far it hasn't been a problem, but if the "flat face" in the floor nozzle - 6:36 - causes me too much grief, I will simply drill it out or adapt the nozzle from my old retired stick vac to it and never look back. So far so good. 😎

Thanks for sharing your inputs. Helps me have an informed decision. They could definitely improve the design in the next releases. Im gonna buy this now though.

His review was awesome and was exactly what I needed to know. He said that he liked it except for the limitations in the long hose and the wall inside the nozzle. I agree with both points. And the Dyson comparisons were helpful. My only complaint about this video is that he didn’t include an affiliate purchase link in the video description so that I could pay him for his time.
@vanman_frАй бұрын
@ForOrchestra not at all a good review my guy, all he did was complain about minor issues ( that for the most part aren't actual issues) like complaining about the design of the end of the hoes claiming its uncomfortable which in my experience is just not the case. Really the only thing he complained about that is an actual issue is the design of the floor attachment. He seems to expect it to what a shop vac will do when that is not at all what it is designed for its not made to pic up large quantities of saw dust so of corse its clogs when you do that. If you buy it to do what it's designed to do its a great little vacuum (little being important word there).

That is one of the most annoying reviews I've ever seen. Whining about the packaging, the color doesn't match, comparing it to vacuums designed for totally different purposes (shop vac), or in a totally different price range. All in a 15 minutes video that could have been 2 minutes long and actually provided the useful information that was scattered throughout your review.

@dickwilliams97917 ай бұрын
For sawdust you should have a tool with a three or four inch diameter hose, and if your shop has electric outlets, there's little need for batteries. Imagining a dustbuster can do the work of a shopvac says alot more about you than the tool.

Regarding the HEPA Filter, the main reason for it is likely due to the filter from fine dust such as drywall or other types of fine suspended solids = a very wise design in my opinion and for the longevity of the vacuum's life.
@toolamanjaro92926 күн бұрын
Dust coming from drywall has very large particles, in the 10 micron size. HEPA is absolutely not needed for that.

Can you please do a review of the dcv100xe workshop blower? In Australia the new version is a piece of crap 💩! I bought one from a popular tool company ( tradetools) in Australia but they cut out after a minute with a 5AH battery! The sales rep was trying to BS me about protective circuitry to save the motor from overheating!!!! Yet when he tested mine on a 54 volt it kept going until the battery died and my workshop blower was hot to the touch! I said ok, thanks but no thanks and walked out. I went to our popular hardware and bought the same model thinking the tradetools version was a defect! But same and I swapped to another fully charged 5Ah and again it cut out. I took it back and i just bypassed the circuitry on my dcv100xe blower and beautiful! No cutting out and blows like brand new.

Wow. Phenomenal review. As others have…unreasonably complained, one minute in I thought you were being highly critical. Then came more useful information in a single minute than other reviewers entire videos. Really well done. Anyone complaining either didn’t finish the video, suffers from biased brand loyalty, and/or doesn’t value a critical and thorough review. Furthermore, you validated my assumptions based on an hour of research. As someone in the DeWalt platform, I wanted to purchase it. But it appeared to have significant shortcomings(not long enough attachments, no carpet beater, small and cumbersome dust bin). Not bad for the price I suppose. Thanks for the thorough review. You answered every question I had plus more in only a few minutes. Easily one of the best product reviews I’ve seen, and I’ve watched over a thousand.

I don't think airflow is a great metric for vacuum cleaners. The suction power seems to have a bigger effect on what the tool can actually pick up. For example the Makita cordless vacuum I got had a higher flow rate than it's 40V counterpart, but significantly lower suction power. As a result it sucks, and not in a good way. The 40V model performs much better from comparisons I've seen. I was just hoping the 18V model would have been adequate enough, but it's really not.
@brucekapinski3412 ай бұрын
Yes, I’m thinking this criticism of your “test“ is sorta valid. As a measurement of suction power… It’s sort of like the difference between current and voltage. Your measuring the ‘current’ -how much air is moving through per second. But that’s not a Measure of the force with which that air is being pushed, i.e. the voltage. I’ve seen that one sort of standard measure of vacuum vacuuming strength that sales people use is ping-pong balls-how many can be held up in a tube before they start falling out the end.

For some reason the reviewer seemed to have a negative attitude from the outset, kind of petty comments mostly. I love it.. It is a perfect vacuum with the straight pipe for vacuuming up dust and bugs around baseboards.. For the most part one of the worst reviewers I've seen.

I rarely comment on videos, but I just wanted to say that I tend to agree with your comment. The reviewer really doesn't understand the use case for this vacuum and clearly misinterprets some of the design features. Sounds like he needs a cordless shop vac as opposed to a Dewalt dust buster. Also at the end of the video, contrary to the video title, he says the hand vac does indeed have good suction lol.
