The Olu pick, if things work out for him, will set our team up for 10+ years, good JD turned it down, a second rounder with more uncertainties, backing up Smith, in a all-in year, would give us fans little confidence in our push for a playoff spot.

That's one of the things i question, i think the most. Is the grading that is done. Because there's times where you scratch your head on their grades. Which i assume are coming from their scouts.

Damn that does make things a lot more intriguing. I don't know if I would've turned that down. To me that says they view Fashanu as a future cornerstone because you really could've done some damage with a 2nd round pick and an extra third.

Joe Douglas did well, they may not be in a position to draft a franchise left tackle next year. This was the move to make not a flashy pick but a very responsible one i think.

I dont blame them....even though it's a 2 and a 3....its a late 2 and a super late 3...they had several picks few just a few picks later in the 4th. Wasn't a great deal even though the point scale said it is.
