2 ай бұрынThis is the first video of many to come where we will be turning $2,000 into $30,000 in just a few short months by buying, fixing up, and selling cars. I will walk through and document all the steps so you can do it too! It can be a great side hustle or way to save lots of money buying a car for yourself!
This is our first flip purchase, a 2002 Lexus SC430 convertible. With a clean title, minimal damage (hopefully) and only 130k miles we are hoping to profit a solid amount after we get this thing all fixed up. I own a 2006 Lexus LC 430 bought it 9 years ago with 109 thousand miles with full Lexus history, now just turned 200.000 miles, we have it serviced yearly, apart from service items, only things that went wrong, electric windows packed up, and the air-conditioning compressor failed, bought one on eBay. Average in our ownership 24 mpg, get a good one and they are a brilliant car, at some point soon must appreciate in value, rare sight on UK roads

These are a fun car, the engine is a gem, they were made for long distance cruising and are a very well built reliable quality car. How would i know, I own a 2002 SC430. In Austalia and you would not get one like yours for less than $12, 000AUD here.

Electrical discharge likely down to the stereo replacement. Cracked dash, broken screen and missing parts to the gear shift panel means the centre console has been completely removed.... badly! Power amp is usually under the seat, so check for any bad joints/frays and bad earths. Good luck.

Boot release is next to fuel cap release / two small buttons knee height under / to side of steering wheel Upper screen is nav ( that one's def had it ) , lower screen is a replacement music centre / original was Mark Levinson

@Atlanticbeachcustoms Mate , that original screen looks like Wolverine was trying to find his way home In the car , scratched beyond any possible use . Does that new "music centre" below have a navigation app on it ? If it does , than that original sat nav is now redundant . Your choice what you put in there ! Maybe just keep it as a cubby hole for odds and ends. Not too much easily accessible places in the SC for bits and pieces without lifting up the "elbow" storage boxes ...

@@a.c.4732 Hahaha yep that and it looks like it sat outside cooking in the sun for 50 years😂 Yes the other screen does have navigation so I might just get rid of that NAV screen altogether like you mentioned, just worried it might look weird having a big hole or missing screen there. First I have heard of that module. Lots of times the VSC light comes on with some of these symptoms. I’m interested in how that used part will work for you. The steering is usually pretty stiff. Any codes stored? My Blue Driver code reader seems to work well for all my Toyota/ Lexus, Acura and even BMW.

Yeah I heard that too with the VSC but I haven’t seen that one yet. I’ll have to hook up my reader again and see if I can view any stored codes. I might need to upgrade my code reader here soon I’ll check that one out thanks! Yes I’ll keep you all posted with how it goes with the new module!

Don’t wrap it! The silver is nice IF you can’t buff the paint to make it pop! Make it a nice daily driver looker… if anything change the center caps! And detail it to show quality luster inside and out!

Great ideas! We are definitely going with a clean and luxurious look. No crazy or flashy colors/design for this one. We are trying to create it like how it’s meant to be- a luxurious, convertible cruiser. Are you not a fan of these flying saucer wheels?😂🛸

I'm Japanese. I used to drive one too. It's now a great car in Japan, and enthusiasts are buying it again. It's an open-top car that cost $80,000 when it was released, and Toyota uses good parts. The engine is a 4300cc DOHC, so it has plenty of horsepower and is still in good condition. If you repair the exterior, overhaul the engine, and reupholster the seats, you can drive it for another 20 years.

Hey thanks for your comment!! I have seen a few of the cleanest built sc430s all from Japan! That’s crazy it was $80,000 back then! Yep I just got pretty much all the mechanic problems sorted out along with some preventative maintenance so now I am going to redo the entire interior and exterior! I wouldn’t mind driving this for the next 20 years😄

Hopefully you have cool neighbors - I think some would be kind of upset at blocking the driveways and rolling over the grass - provided they got a heads up most people would be decent - you do kind of live on a fairly busy road.

@@Atlanticbeachcustoms I have a parking pad on the side of my lawn that I rarely use though some of my neighbor's company takes the liberty of parking there - I've had to put out a no parking sign - if they would ever ask I'd always let them but they never seem to bother so there's that....
