Any flail mower is worth it. The way they process grass is far better than a rotary, plus you have the extra capability of grinding up thicker brush, woody weeds and small saplings. 😊

Now that you’ve had some time to play with it, what is your opinion on the TMG brand quality? I have their root grapple and have had no issues, debating getting a brush mower for my skid steer.

Did you find better knives for the mower? Where did you get them?

Okay, so here's my opinion on these out front hydraulic attachments (flails, finishing mowers, all that good stuff). They seem great in principle, over a compact tractor. Cutting the grass before your drive over it, no looking behind you, no p.t.o shaft to get caught in, or to over extend the angle of. But it all seems to get a bit complicated when you put it into practice. Like the power/size/price machine you need to do the job, seems high, for what it achieves. I mean that bobcat is no baby. yet as you said it didn't have the flow rate to really do the job. Glad your Wacker performed better, but that looks like an awfully big, expensive machine to flail 1.8 meters of easy going grass. I mean it puts out a lot more flow than something like an Avant (which is literally made to power mowers and such...which is concerning for Avant owners). What I'm saying is, it all seems well, and then you see someone on a small compact tractor flailing grass like this, a piece of cake, with a p.t.o shaft and about half the horsepower of these loaders. They seem very over kill, for what they actually seem to be able to cut. The power doesn't seem to flow efficiently. Hopefully this makes sense, let me know your thoughts...

Almost no one is buying an industrial construction grade skid loader just to cut grass. Mowing is basically an after thought as to what these machines are typically used for. If you NEED a skid loader for heavy duty application and it can mow too, why buy a tractor?

Pto and fluid power are way different. Takes a lot more hp to do with hydraulics what a pto setup can achieve. It’s not cost effective as a homeowner to buy a skiddy but if you’re a contractor it’s nice having all of these tools at your disposal without having to have a skiddy AND a typical farm tractor. I bought a tl12 myself so I can run just about anything I throw at it.

I was thinking about ordering one for mine. I have a kabota 121-3. What do you have for an excavator and what did you get for a flail mower? How is the tmg working for you?

Can we get an update on your tmg purchase. are you happy with it? does your machine have enough power to run it. What did you do with the case drain hose connection? Thanks
