Haha top video man, yeah it's similar with the FZ6, it looks like a naked upright with low down torque but cos it's just got an R6 engine in, there's not much power below 5000rpm, but after that it just pulls harder and harder all the way to the redline.

Thanks man! It's the complete opposite on the MT07, it's insane torque but it's steady (if anything, it drops power at the top off the rev range) - I really love these little pocket rockets! Contemplating a Honda CBR400RR, VFR or RVF..

Would you recommend buying a 50CC bike first or wait until I'm 17 for an A1 licence and 125CC? I'm not desperate for a bike, but certainly interested. Is it worth getting a moped?

DucksEverywhere yea get it cheap insure third party and learn the basics and roads before 125cc and you'll save a tone on insurance if you get 1 years no claims on the scooter.

I second what was already previously commented; the sooner you can gain road and riding experience the better! Unless you can hold out until 17 for a 125cc but, you'll sacrifice a years worth of experience and riding.

Hey man, stumbled across this channel and I'm liking your content. I'm new to bikes and don't currently have one so I have a question since I'm in the UK as well - I'm currently 18 with a full car licence (turning 19 in October), is it worth getting an A1 licence now and to have a 125cc or would you recommend waiting until I'm 19 when I can go for an A2 licence and spending my money on a 250cc? I don't want to get a 125cc to find that it's really slow when I could wait it out for a bigger bike. Thanks man!

Hey James! First of all, welcome to the channel! Honestly, considering you're 19 this year and already have a mode of transport (car). I'd recommending holding out for your A2 for sure! You may wish to book an extra day or two of training as you'll be completely new to riding. In the meantime, you've already got road/theory experience, so just try to familiarise yourself with how a motorbike works (gears, steering etc) and the theory/concept behind it.

EvolutionMotovlogs Thanks for the reply, how much can I expect to be spending for lessons and tests for the Mod1 and Mod 2 (I think that's right?) to get my A2? Also, am I right in saying that I have to do a different theory test to the one I have for driving? 😊

Motorbike theory is separate, although the test is identical (just Motorcycle orientated). I spent around £600 for two days of training and two tests day (Mod 1 and Mod 2). That include bike hire, insurance etc.

Dam Evo. It's getting real close to my 19 birthday which I will be doing my test the day after. I'm not sure what I want to get but I have a few ideas. I currently have a KTM RC 125 haha

it's very reliable did 10k miles within a year of ownership. Nothing wrong with it at all. Got a fuel exhaust on it decatted and sounds amazing!

Im about to get my first bike (a mt 125 2017 edition) and I absolutely love to ride even though ive only done it a few times. I used to drive a 50cc before so im alright in trafic etc but... I get these moments where I am afraid that I will literally kill myself on a bike, Even though im a pretty slow and safe driver. Anyone else with these thoughts?

Hi! I've always found that as I've progressed through motorbike to motorbike, I've felt safer and safer with the additional power, larger tyres, increased braking power and such. The 50cc can be a little lacking in moving traffic and as you mentioned, daunting! Extra power is safe, when used responsibly! :)

dont get me wrong but ill stick with my fzr600r 4jh over anything new as its just as reliable and i can repair it with basic tools. plus its also had its head ported and been rejetted to match and is making 123.82 bhp at rear wheel compared to the stock 91 its ment to be.

Quick question so are you 19 or 21 with an a2 or full a license?

At 19, you can obtain your A2 License - which is a full license technically (No L plates, motorway access, carry pillions and the license doesn't expire). But, you must be restricted to meet the power/weight ratio output. Which is what I'm currently riding on. After to years after passing your A2, you can take your FULL test (or age 24 direct access).

It wasn't an easy one; took several weeks of pestering - you've just got to approach it with a mature manner. Advising my parents that I'd always wear full gear (Head to Toe) when riding and a Camera should anything happen somewhat helped me out a ton!

A2 License - MT07 Restricted (power output). A License - No restrictions required.

How are you affording all of this at 19? The MT07 with that exhaust system and all your gear must have cost thousands... Not to mention insurance and the bikes you’ve had in the past. Are you working full time or do you have rich parents helping you out?

I've worked full time since the age of 16, each and every time I purchase a new motorbike I put the sale of the previous towards it and have gradually been able to progress from a 50cc to a 125cc and so forth. My parents kindly paid for my CBT and textiles at 16 (Birthday); I have earned my way since. You're not wrong though; ALOT of my money has gone in to gear, equipment, motorbikes, insurance, running costs etc but it's my hobby and independence.

I'm tempted to get a 'track toy'. perhaps a Honda CBR400RR, RVF of VFR - strip it down and rebuild it; I've got a few road trips/tours planned this year and I can't fund everything unfortunately so maybe it'll have to wait :(.

The 4JH FZR600R was styled to resemble the YZF750R. U.S. market 4JH model was sold as the YZF 600R. To further confuse matters the The Thundercat which followed the FZR was got the YZF600r designation!.....
