tech tip. leave the nut on 5-10 turns on the steering wheel. that way when you heman it doesn't break the airbag wires and most importantly the wheel doesn't slam in to your face at 1000 mph.

I'm not sure anyone has filled you in yet, but the Subaru CVT issue is likely just the solenoid pack on the trans. It's far cheaper than replacing the entire transmission and typically fixes it long term. MrSubaru has excellent videos on the topic. Not a terribly difficult job.

I don't know how far a drive it is to the auction, but I think I would have driven back to get them. Looked like a big pain to hotwire them. Good score on the card however. You can never go wrong with a Toyota. Love my 2023 Camry and 2018 Toyota iM.

Even though getting the cars were harder than winning the cars, it was still worth it! A Camry with 114k miles is rare enough. One with a manual transmission? Super rare. I hope it gets the rust treatment it deserves! Both are are wins! Just hope your sister doesn't take much notice on the Scion's bumper!

Dude the ford focus you need to take the ground out it's next to the battery clean it strip the paint off where it's mounted use some electrical grease and it will work fine

Would say you did well the last camry I bought was a 2005 with a 170k on it but it was from Tennessee (spotless car no rust) price was $3500.00 which seems to be the going price there good cars though there's still a ton of them on the road. Wow! $550 for a car with only 114k miles…in this market? That’s a bargain. Will VT fail inspection for that amount of rust? If so, run it over to NY. They don’t fail unless the rust is structural. I bet you could get $3-4k over there.

Dude, you killed it with the Toyotas! One small trick i learned with the yellow headlights, mask them off and spray oven cleaner. It'll take 90 percent of the yellow off! Thought it was BS when I saw a video of it, but I tried it and it was magic!

I have a 2003 Camry with the 2.4L 4 cyl engine and it has 211k on it and runs great. Watch for the head bolt threads stripping out of the block and causing overheating - had this problem but got the top half of the engine rebuilt and new head bolt studs for $1500 total and it runs like new. Also they like to burn a quart oil every 1,000 miles or so.

We had a Scion xA since new, 2005 also. Bought it with 2 miles and never had a single problem with it, just oil changes for regular maintenance. My sister rolled it swerving to miss a cat. Still one of the best cars our family has had, it had 315k when it was written off.

That scion you got was basically a Toyota Yaris. 2007-2012 Yaris have been seen going 400k miles or more with basic maintence. The strong part of those cars is the 1.5L engine and the transmissions. Definitely clean that up for your sister. Get some fresh oil on it. New air filters, clean the car inside and out and do the spark plugs, the simple maintence. Great video. Would love to see an update video on the two of these cars!

I’m a huge Toyota fan especially after buying my 2000 Camry with 250k for 500$ and having to do nothing to it but a tune up. It now sits @ 302k although down south we don’t have to worry about rust just crazy drivers 😂 I’m sure the drivetrain will outlast the body lol just be sure to keep an eye on the oil level I’m not 100% sure when the 2.4 started burning oil but they did at some point

We all do dumb things all the time, this just added some fun to this video, makes you look human. Looks like you got some real bargains there. The XB seems to have only needed minor repairs, the damage to the front bumper could be easily fixed, should be a good runner for your sister. The Camry looks like a steal, guess being stick turns off all but a few buyers but after some hopefully minor repairs, it should be a nice profit on it.
