Buying COLOURFUL FISH for my NEW AQUARIUM!

I'm currently setting up my Lake Tanganyikan peninsula tank, and I'm on a mission to make it as colourful as possible! As you may know, the Tanganyikan fish are not quite as colourful as the Malawi African Cichlids, so it's a little bit more of a challenge. But I love colourful fish and want to see how many colours I can get in there :D
In this video we head to Atlas Aquarium in Brisbane, Australia, to find some fish we can add in.

I know 😭😭 and I'll be forever grateful! I used many of the techniques he taught me for redoing the tank. I love the new set up though and felt it was time for a change 😁 Hopefully you will like it too!

He did, and I'm forever grateful for his amazing work! To make the change was a very well thought out decision over many months. But I'm glad I got to enjoy the river tank while I did and am looking forward to the new beginnings, and I hope others will enjoy it too 😊

Poor Jason!!! Can't wait for the video of the rebuild and reasoning for the change!! Are you keeping the new set-up on the Sump/ did you have to make any changes to the Sump for the new fish?

Your new yellow tail Tanzanian acei will get big trust me! I had 3 of them. Couldn't find them for about 3yrs? Now they seem to be everywhere. Ive got 2 white tails that are about 15cm long as well. My yellows eventually died from age.

Those tropheus are gonna be show stoppers when fully grown, just be very careful of their diet though, tropheus can go downhill very quickly. As for the yellow fin acei, I have 11 now with my other mbuna's and I think it's time to stop now haha!

Hahaha, that's so funny you have so many of the yellow fin Aceis!! 🤣 I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks they're adorable. And I really hope the Tropheus will go well! I'm feeding them Thera A and bug bites at the moment and all good so far. Hopefully they'll stay nice and healthy 🙌

I LOVED it but I never ended up enjoying the rainbow fish as much as I thought, so I decided I wanted to try Tanganyikan cichlids. It's been a well thought out/long decision that I've been sharing on Instagram mostly, but it is probably more of a surprise to most of my audience on KZfaq 😊

Very nice Kaity !!! Ventralis & Furcifers are so hard to find in my area...such a nice fish. I had a bad experience mixing Tropheus with other Tangy's but we'll see. You have a really nice selection, you just need a Frontosa to top it off.

I've been giving them the New Life Spectrum ones and sinking most of them for them and they've been ok so far thankfully! I will definitely be careful though and keep an eye out for it. Thank you 🙏

It depends! I have a quarantine tank, but my rainbow fish are in there at the moment. So in this case because the fish had been in Atlas and healthy for a few weeks I took the risk. But it's generally recommended to quarantine them first just in case

I would hope not, because I don't see it as a waste at all! I learnt SO much from it and had so many amazing experiences from my journey with that tank. But for me it's time for a change and I'm really excited for it!
