Yes I agree, and the reason why you don’t see a lot of low graded coins is, coins with a lot of wear tend to not straight grade. & I find it fun in some coins to find the lowest grade (cull) I can find. Great video !!

Beautiful coins man! But heads up, that 1891 Morgan looks artificially toned. It will have a high probability of getting "Details-Artificial Toning" or a "Details-Questionable Color" grade from any of the grading companies. But overall awesome stuff, keep it up! I say this because I collect toned, and rainbow toned coins. Also, I've artificially toned morgans for experimental purposes and the results are just like that 1891 Morgan you're holding. Many forums are out there showing the difference and how to spot them. The color is too bold, unnatural. But just want to help you save money. Otherwise, slab it up for fun! I'd love to see a future video about it lol.

This might be the dumbest logic I’ve ever heard. There isn’t that many low grade Frankins graded across PCGS, NGC, and ANACS because it cost 3x more to grade them than what they’re worth… they are worth melt value. That’s it. Every collector has stacks of these low grade Franklins.. they are not rare.. you don’t see them slabbed because it is an insanely idiotic financial decision to grade them 😂😂😂😂
@TheKANSASKIDD6 ай бұрын
But your wrong. Low ball coins ARE NOT worth melt. It's called the collectors market. Big difference from melt 😂. There are not many out there because the majority dont make the cut and get rejected or dont grade straight across. If they do, they are worth way more. 😂😂😂

No. The populations are low because they don't straight grade. That makes them worth more.

A lot of the time low grade coins are Details coins or damaged so they either get rejected or they don't straight grade. The ones that make it well, are potentially worth quite a bit more. That's the collectors market for a specific thing.

Why don't you buy a roll or two of worn Franklins and send them in to be graded? You could be sitting on a goldmine. Then again you would have just decreased the "rarity" of your coins.
@TheKANSASKIDD6 ай бұрын
The problem is getting a low grade coin to straight grade. There are millions of culls but it isn't as simple as that. A true lowball coin must straight grade to be rare. And, to have a coin grade a PO01 is like getting an old coin to grade MS70.

That is why the market can't be flooded with then and why they are rare and collected.

@Indigone_Demon5 ай бұрын
You're confusing scarcity with rarity. Just because slabbed junk silver is scarce doesn't mean it's rare. There are plenty of low grade 90% that aren't slabbed because there's really no money to be made in grading unless they're P01 or FR02. If you like them and want to buy them great. But there's zero reason to grade them financially speaking.

There is nothing wrong with collecting low grade coins, but to make it sound like it's a rarity that's something special is kind of foolish. You don't find low grade common coins in slabs because it's a waste of money. The cost of having it graded is way more then the coins are worth. Even ms quality Benjamin's are only worth slightly over grading costs in alot of cases.
@TheKANSASKIDD15 күн бұрын
No, you don't find low grade coins in slabs because they are so difficult to get a straight grade. Low graded coins that Straight grade are definitely worth having in a slab and makes it worth way more. It is a rarity to have that. And they are sought after. Foolish.....maybe, but they are highly collected and worth a lot of money to collectors. Do more research on slabs.
