I know you don’t really look at comments much so I doubt you’ll see this but I’ve been a huge fan for a long time & just want to say thank you, lex. For inspiring me every day & teaching me more than I ever could’ve learned in school. You’ve made me addicted to learning, thinking deeply, & with nuance. These conversations are truly priceless works of art.

Weird, he mentioned binary planets and then super earth having too much gravity to escape it, and it made me think, what if what they detected is actually a binary pair and not one giant rocky planet 🤔 super Earth's always seemed odd to me conceptually. Anywho, great episode!

I love sci-fi and listening to conversations like this. But it’s also sad. In essence, all I hear are the same old fantasies of ruling the universe as we kill ourselves with stupidity. That said, I was relieved to hear that acknowledged sincerely longabout 3:02:32

This is how I relax in the face of possibly terminal illness. Knowing people like these two beautiful humans exist and are trying their best to keep an eye on the ball… just gives me an almost religious sense of hope for the future… in the face of a very uncertain future, that’s truly a gift. I aim to repay that gift in any way I can, big or small, to my very last breath. If you’re reading this in the future, my fellow archaeologists of the weird and wonderful, then know that I love you. Whoever and whatever you are.

I am 56 yr old, and these podcast blow my mind. When I was in school, there was no way possible to hear conversations like these. A basic science class with a average educated teacher was not really stimulating. Lex gets extremely fascinating people on the cutting edge everything you could imagine and probably never imagined. I kind of sad that missed out conversation like these.

Something that has fascinated me recently is listening to lectures from the scientists and public intellectual's of the past. It really insightful to learn how they thought about the direction society would take, and what advances they expected would change the world versus what really ended up taking place

Im 46 and I love KZfaq, I listen to lectures and watch documentaries on so many topics that interest me all the time. Especially Religious, Spiritual and Occult topics that use to be so few and far in between we can even get Ancient Alien episodes on KZfaq and I learned so much about so many things on that show not even about aliens just history and Science based. As you said these Pod casts are excellent listening to convos as an outsider is so cool.

Rogan and youtube saved my life. I rarely watch JRE now but he introduced me to so many ideas and people. Lex is standing on the shoulder of a giant and he has snatched the grasshopper out of his hand. Not only has Lex introduced me to so many great people and ideas (just subbed to cool worlds 😎) but had incredible episodes with people I learned of through Joe. The Duncan Trussel thumbnail popping up was like Xmas morning! I love them both, I think I am just a little more like-minded with lex. He always asks the questions I have for the guests. Lex, I know you read the comments. I'm half drunk so forgive my sloppy post but I fucking love you man, you are like the "perfect best friend". I have great people in my life but you have never said or done anything of any significance that I disagree with. Same goes for Duncan. The RZA episode was incredible as well, really helped me think about life/death in a new light. Your therapy session for Kanye really just exposed how big of a heart you have. He is such a sad case, you tried so hard to help him. I miss the old Kanye and I hope he can find peace somehow. People like you are my hope for the future of humanity and whatever type of AI being we birth. You are so humble it is hard for me to word this but you have saved my life man. I have been in some dark places. In 2010 I tested the "benzodiazepines rarely kill you by themselves" with .25g of phenazepam. I am here now and when I am lonely and start to go into dark places I watch your videos and it really helps a lot. I want to be like "have x person on" but that has to get annoying. I selfishly want to see a few specific comedians but you find amazing new people. You magically make a conversation with anyone incredible and get incredible guests for every pod. I will shut my drunk ass up now. Sorry for the book.

I looveeee this guy's pure logic based perspective on things. He constantly checks himself for biases and strives to view all through an open, yet critical mind that functions on what knowledge he does have to make the most logical decision about any situation. This man is a true scientist. I have this type of mentality, and it's kinda rare to see people like this.

This is what science should be... Not what we experienced in 2020-2022 covid phase... "you should just believe what we say with no skepticism allowed". Sure, most trying to just do the right thing... But the "listen to the science" people when science was extremely limited were off base and I hope they all learned a huge lesson on what science really is. Skepticism is welcome and not to be shamed, try to proce it wrong so that the science is sound, and invite different perspectives

not sure how logical it is to conclude all these things from 1 pixel.... True science begins with receiving a love of the truth and coming to a knowledge of the truth requires an examination of all the "knowledge" on a subject... God has revealed Himself in His creation and His purpose in His Word. It is worth your time to read the Bible for yourself and learn about the only Creator mankind has on record speaking to mankind in the first person. God has given us a gift of reconciliation to Him by faith in Jesus, not astronomy... spend some time learning about Jesus through His Word, reading it for yourself.... it is worth it.

Although I didn't understand all he spoke of, this conversation is fascinating in how it starts with the difficulties in discovering big truths from minuscule measurements and arcs into big theories of possibility. Dr Kipping's process of critical thinking in an of itself is enlightening. The conversation in its entirety gives insight to the challenges the scientific community faces along with the human interpersonal challenges that make up its personality. Thank you BOTH for sharing your time and minds with us. I appreciate it.
