People that say it costs more to repair than what the car is worth are people that don't appreciate the value of their car. I mean some of these cars had price tags of over 100k when they came out

Hello bro i have a w140 1995 s320 it short i have a problem,when i turn the wheel at maximum the car shakes and the rpm goes so low can somebody help what to fix for my baby

@@argjendsalihu8900 Not good to keep steering at Maximum due to load on pump and engine at idle or low speed. Check spark plugs and hope you have problem fixed.

Agreed, I've had a fair few cars and I don't find my 1993 S320 underpowered. It's no rocket but the 8.4 second 0-100 is pretty good for a car of this age and weight and as you mentioned, the lower weight over the front end is a huge bonus. I drive it steady anyway so it wouldn't matter to me what engine is in there, it would get driven the same!

I have a ‘93 S600. The biggest concern is replacing the modules as they are hard to find. Expensive to maintain and keep running the right way. But I won’t give it up. Nothing made today compares

Sounds like someone Brainwashed you or to much reading or worst case scenario ,you have had or seen one that was in a bad shape ,come see mine & come for a drive ,you will quickly forget about that W221 (didn't a few w221 customers just junk there car because the cluster cost over $5000 to repair,mmh). I owned a W126 for years ,against the W140 its not comparable ,a totally different car except looking at the Star on the end of the Hood,still loved the 126 . If you come across a W140 in excellent condition with everything being updated & repaired ,don't let it go ,you'd be sorry. Almost all have already had the expensive repairs done ,it's just the lazy cheap owners that haven't ,& those are the once you need to be careful of . My 600SEL has no expense spared in any section of repairs ,it drives above 100% with every single gadget/option + more functioning the way they should & yes all my Multi contour Lumbar bladders inflate (should have been mentioned in the above video that those don't work on almost all w140's due to the bladder's disintegrating with age). Have Fun finding a good one ,don't be Cheap,cheap once cost more to repair then what they worst.

@@MercS600W140-600SEL-LORINSER The numbers don't lie man. Go on Ebay or any car selling website and see what a W126 560 SEC goes for and what a W140 500 or 600 SEC/CL500 or CL600 is going for. A late model 88-91 W126 coupe vs. a W140 any year coupe, you will see that the W126's command a nice premium in similar condition. LIke I said, a mint W140 is a very nice machine no question, but it takes a lot more TLC and preventative care to keep a W140 going than a W126, so much so that people give up on those W140's. The W126 was the best Mercedes period. I'm a Lexus guy, so I'd get a LS any day, but I have a special place in me for a W126. W140's just haven't proven well to the test of time like the W126 has.

@@raycroal Keep feeding yourself a dillusion. The W140 sold half the number of the W126, meaning that the W140's were way rarer. There were 74K W126 coupes made and 26K W140's. So that means that the 140's should be worth more, since they are nearly 3 times as rare. Alas, Mercedes purists know that a 140 is a nightmare to keep running. That's why they are less desirable in the long term.

@@za4117 ffs its delusion,and i own a cl600 and it has been faultless. the w126 was made for 5 years longer than w126 so of course there are more, the w140 was dearer than w126 so of course it sold better.cl600 are now at 25000 gbp for good ones and some sec are cheaper than that,the sec has had nearly ten years of price growth and inflation that the cl600 has not had infact they only started rising in value 2-3 years ago so how am i delusional??????
