The car has rust not gonna lie, but the plan is not to restore this 100% either and make it rust free. The plan is to get plates so I can enjoy it and have fun with it ✌🏼

One chassis that was missing from the channel. I'd recommend to start with stripping the carpet and tackling floor and rocker pannel rust. Given the fact it has the sunroof the front jacking points are probably rusted through and you have holes in driver and passanger footwell area. Perhaps you can try to source m20b25 (same wiring) as m20b20 is not worth investing money into. Aftermarket MTech 1 kit (used OEM costs more than the car probably) along with MTech 1 steering wheel and you are set.

Yes it does have some rust that`s true :) I don´t know if I will swap the engine. Have thought about doing a cheap turbo build with the B20 engine, or just keep it stock and enjoy the straight six sound :) Will look into some aftermarked options for styling :) Thanks !

Good trailer, Same one I have as well. It is shallow, stable, straight and middle part is covered so it can be used for anything else , not just for cars.

Yeah, I`m super happy with it :) Bought it spring 2023 and have been using it alot. I did some fixes on it so I can have the cars further to the front, made it even more stable :) Chech out my video after I bought my E36 driftcar if you want to see.

If u have no info about engine timing belt then change it because they intend to snap and valves hit the piston. B20 is not a bad engine but it doesn’t make any good power to enjoy driving so i recommend swapping like m54b30 in it and it would be like rocket. I have a e30 with m44b19 swap for rally stuff. But as a e30 person its great seeing other people getting an e30 😁

I’m actually very excited to try thw B20 on the road, often with big power cars I drive to fast, this is slow but has a good sound so I hope it’s enjoyable and chill to drive 🙌🏼

Ive had a high idle on my m20b25. Changed out bunch of parts only to find the cruise control cable was too tight, holding the throttle body open. Check if the throttle cable is properly adjusted and also if the set screw on the throttle body isn't too tight leaving the butterfly open!

Thanks for the tip! I have not looked into this much yet, but when I gas it seems like the «idle adjuster» moves witg some vacuum or something. The little «bolt» it’s leaning on pushes back then giving gas

I had a few cool E36's, actually have BMW E30. In my opinion its much more mechanical soul car compare to E36. Much more fun

kjøpte meg også nettopp ein e30. der hadde eg veldig ugjenv tomgang, men eg hadde dårlig tomgangsregulator og vakuum lekasje rett før gassspjeldet.

i have pre fl 1990 e34 with same engine :D had to change spark plugs to get the idle shit together

I can try to swap the plugs, maybe it will help on mine too :) Will also check vacuum leaks :)

Transform it into a daily car, I have the same model 320i but its from 1989, the differential is whinning and im in trouble finding a replacement here in Romania

Jeg har en E28 m20B20 som hadde høy turtall ved kaldstart, kan være flere ting. Kaldstart ventilen kan være dårlig (selges ikke nytt lengre) så du kan prøve å koke den eller blende den, det kan også være vakuum lekkasje, eller så kan du justere luftmassemåler, de kan også bli litt seige med årene.. sjekk også hva gassvaiern er justert på.

Det skal være mulig å åpne luftmassemåleren (den store svarte boksen) på innsiden er det et spjel som er fjærstyrt om jeg ikke tar helt feil, er litt plagsomt med gammel elektronikk men insiden virker på en mekanisk måte, må kanskje ''kutte den opp'' også sette på plasten igjen med silikon eller noe slikt. Kan hende du bare må rengjøre innsiden, hvis ikke må du kanskje kjøpe noe nytt. hvordan de blir justert er jeg ikke heeelt sikker på, fordi det var en kompis som hjalp meg men det begynner å bli noen år siden..@@FahreFilms

Kanskje sjekka om den har tomgongskrue? Balte me ein audi 100 me rekke 5 låg på 2000 på tomgang, då va da nåken so hadde tukla me tomgongskruen😅
