those 2.5 turbo 5 cylinder engines are MONSTERS. Unkillable, can build insane horsepower. And the fact that you guys both bought two of the most tuneable and unkillable engines ever made is giving me hope that this will be a very good and exciting series!

TDC has quickly surpassed all other UK automotive content I watch. Great mix of technical, fun, and great presenters. Don't give up showing the "how" part of upgrading your cars like so many channels slowly phase out please!

I had a similarly dodgy EP3 years ago. Did 40,000 miles in it, many at 8000rpm and it never missed a beat. Sold it to a policeman who then immediately wrote it off! Great cars

The sheer amount of content that you lads fit into a video is fantastic - you must be working your arses off. Many other (ahem) channels would have milked this into one video buying each car, another looking around them and another on the dyno. Smashing it out of the park guys

Great video - enjoyed that ! The 2,000 rpm tick over on cold start on the EP3 is fairly normal, supposedly to warm up the cat quickly and meet emissions. Not so great when you have a loud aftermarket exhaust, and you need to leave the house very early in the morning! The Idle Air Control Valves get gummed up over time and can lead to a surging tickover.

I got my first EP3 Type R brand new in 03, loved it. Bought a brand new Focus ST2 in 06 (it was ok) sold it after 4 months and bought a brand new pre reg 55 plate CTR Premier edition. Had way more fun in the CTR’s. To be fair, ST had just come out and there wasn’t much available at the time. Both great hot hatches.

I'm so glad you guys started this channel. Along with bigtime, I'm really pleased with the direction automotive content on youtube is heading. Loving all your videos guys.

TDC has quickly become my favourite car channel, Sorry Alex 🤣 Always funny, entertaining and somehow educational.

I'm gonna love this series, being a hot hatch lover myself. And speaking as an American, we technically got these in America, but different - The EP3 Civic Si has some slight differences. The K20A2 in the Si is down some horsepower, the Si is only a 5 speed manual, 4 lug in pre-facelift models, different body work, no LSD, the list goes on. But the EP3 body was sold in America and only as an Si, nothing cheaper or less powerful than that - The Mk.2 Focus was only sold in Sedan and Coupe variants in America with a slow 2L Duratec. But we got the Volvo C30 T5, a Volvo model running on the same platform and with the same engine as the Mk.2 Focus ST. It didn't have the cool colors of the Focus, nor was the C30 sold only in a Manual like the ST

Really enjoyed this episode and looking forward to the next! The focus bosch ecu is very knock sensitive so run a good quality super unleaded and youll notice a good difference, also decat it and centre res delete but leave the standard backbox for a good noise

Bought my Performance Blue ST when i was 21, owned it 6 years and transformed it from standard to around 330hp, typical Airtec on the cooler, Bola B1 wheels and all the usual vents and splitters. Sold it 2 years ago and now have a forged RS but I do miss the old girl 💙
