That kind of pleasant ghost Ryan thinks he'd be is called a "domovoy" in Slavic folklore - it's a spirit that lives in people's houses and helps them with domestic chores. However, if you disrespect him he'll get offended and might leave or start a ruckus (for one, you're supposed to leave him food out which obviously isn't the best idea, lol)

Lyric I've been to the Whaley house, the tour guide said there was a man, Thomas Whaley, who loved to tickle people's necks and shoulders, in the living room I felt something brushing on my neck. Also, my sister and I saw Anna Whaley walking down the stairs.

So I recently went to the Whaley house, i was was with my boyfriend looking through the glass part of the door to look inside while my boyfriend was taking pictures of the door. When we both smelled sweet perfume, we both looked at each other and looked around us to see if anyone was passing by us but there was no one. The Whaley house website had claimed that sometimes people smell Anna Whaley’s French perfume. We apologized to Anna Whaley for looking into her home and went on our way.

Y’all need to go to Eureka Springs in Arkansas at the hotel named Crescent hotel. It’s claimed to be one of the most haunted places. If you guys go to it I recommend room 218. There has been sightings of a man in that room that fell to his death when he was building the hotel. But there is also a lot of reports of different full body apparitions. This place was also a ward for sick cancer patients at one point. I highly recommend it. I hope y’all see this!!

I thought there would be more especially because it is said to be the most haunted hotel. I have been there 3 times and it’s so awesome. I’ve definitely had some spooky things happen when I was there. There is also a Catholic Church right next to it. If your ever in Arkansas go there you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been with my family while visiting Eureka Springs. We didn’t stay overnight because we are very superstitious but I bought a book with a lot of the stories and it is so interesting. The hotel is beautiful and on the balcony of one of the higher floors you can see a stature recreation of the Rio Grande statue of Jesus. We didn’t see anything but right when I walked in I felt as if I were wearing a weighted vest. It made my breathing a little uneven and made me feel very eerie. It made me and my family feel very uneasy. Overall it was very fun and I would definitely recommend going if you haven’t already. :)

I live near the Whaley House and I had only one ghost experience so far. My younger brother, who is autistic, tried to get in the roped off living room, but we stopped him. Immediately after that, I leaned in to take pictures of it, and I swear I heard a woman's voice coming from the couch next to the doorway say, "Don't come in here."

Took a trip to Cali in 2017. Went to the Whaley house. My best friend was really scared but saw nothing. I'm a skeptic like Shane but I know I saw someone. A woman in a green dress. She wasn't drinking anything, but she just stood there. I thought it was just a prank until it dawned on me when telling my best friend that I'm red/green color blind, but I could see the green of her dress. My colorblindness has gotten worse as I've got older, so I used to be able to see green better but at that point in my life I couldn't see it at all. I was telling my friend about it right after & how I thought it was a joke & she turned to me & said "I thought you can't see green" & I nearly shat myself.

I’ve actually toured this place back in 2013-2014. It was during the day, and I remember there were lots of people there. It gets quite a bit of tourists. The rooms were closed off though. You could look into the rooms, but couldn’t walk in or around them. Fascinating.

The fate of Yankee Jim is actually far more tragic than they get to in this video. The city was having a problem with crime at the time, and the authorities felt they needed to make an example of someone. Yankee Jim was chosen because he was conveniently in custody, and, do to him originally being from Quebec, Canada before he moved to America to try his luck prospecting, he had a very thick accent, which led to people being biassed against him. He was tried on ridiculously trumped up charges of grand larceny, which was an offense someone could be hanged for. In that time, to commit grand larceny, you needed to steal the equivalent of 1000 dollars, and there was no way on earth a little row boat was worth that much. Further more, the hanged was horrifically botched, with some reporting it took Yankee Jim upwards of 45 minutes to die. If anyone had cause to be a pissed off ghost, it's this guy.

also, it was very easy for them to play him up to be dangerous and threatening because he was about 6’4 when most men at the time were about 5’6 (thomas whaley himself was only about 5’2)
