I’d like to see this show revived in prime time . Takes $1,000 to win the game, each correct answer is worth $100 , the Dare clue is worth $200 to the one challenging, $100 if the challenger is correct, the double dare is worth $400 to the one challenging, and $200 if challenger is correct. Whoever gets $1,000 wins the game and goes to face four spoilers for a chance at $50,000. Eight clues four clues you must pass, each time you get a clue by a spoiler it’s worth $1,000, get all four clues past one spoiler and you win $50,000. Host ideas Mark L. Walberg, Marc Summers , Todd Newton , Brooke Burns unless someone has a better idea for a host

All things considered, this was a good game but if this show stayed on the air Trebek might not have done Jeopardy.

James Bonnen Hypothetically speaking if the 2nd version of "High Rollers" would have not came back the same day as "Card Sharks", Trebek may have hosted "Card Sharks", and coincidentally they both started on the same day in 1978.

This Double Dare is more like Jeopardy! show because of the clues are like Jeopardy! except there is no what is or who is ordeal!!

Beat the Spoilers is like final jeopardy except the spoilers don’t make wagers or lose money if they come up with wrong answers.

+BRBTheFireball True, but from what I've seen of the show, he seems to be the one most often fooled. James Baker, on the other hand, I have rarely seen fooled by any clues.

is it just me, or does the bonus round seem near impossible to win?

flclfan85 It’s definitely possible. Multiple people did win, but it is intimidating knowing that the panel is comprised of Ph.D’s, and knowing that they have incentive to keep you from winning by getting money themselves for correct answers. The thing is you never knew what their doctorate was in, and so it was possible neither one of them might specialize in the area relating to the subject. Or maybe all of them did sometimes. You just had to make sure you got the most difficult clues by them, and it only took one to miss on all four clues to win.

@@ThunderFist1978 - Or maybe the writers, write too many giveaway clues for subjects such as the Popeye one.

When you have subjects that are too well known (like Popeye), combined with writers, writing too many giveaway clues, then yes. But remember, bonus rounds are suppose to be HARD. Quick, how many times has a person won the Bonus Sprint on Scrabble? With that said, it's very stupid to have subjects like Popeye and the Crash of 1929 on there if you can't think of enough obscure clues.
