I agree. Much needed respect for them. They save lives, and sometimes people don’t care to move over. It’s stupid. Firefighters deserve a lot more

BugattiIncorporated not sure about in the US, but in Australia where i live, we are given exact location, then we have one firefighter in the back navigating with maps finding the quickest route, then directing the driver "next left, second right," etc.

that's how it works for the most part. bigger cities don't use radio too much anymore and the address is just automatically programmed in to the computer.

for my department, we get the address from dispatch, then we either program the GPS or we already know where to go.

***** It really depends on traffic, here we don't unless traffic is traveling at a high rate of speed. Also if we have a truck right behind us we let them, which is what it sounds like happened 30secs after they get on scene they say " Squad 2 on scene ".

In this situation with two lanes the cars in the left pull over as far as they can while the cars in the right shift into the brake down lane and then the emergency vehicle proceeds down the right or middle lane if it was 3 lanes. Lol i hope you aren't driving yet because you re supposed to know that lol

If you had taken drivers ed you would know on a two lane highway cars in the left lane pull to the left as much as they can and cars in the right shift into the breakdown lane and the emergency vehicle proceeds down the right lane like they did. It would have been better if there wasnt so many cars plus the 18 wheelers had a big effect. A 3 lane highway would have been easier because the cars in the right lane shift to the break down lane and the middle lane cars shift to the right lane and the emergency vehicle proceeds down the middle lane.

it depends on the state PRESTIGER33. in maine drivers are instructed to move to the right even on 3 lane roads. in Massachusetts driver are instructed to the left shoulder in the left lane and and middle or right lanes to more to the right

Idk even command said all units you outside shoulder....
